This year we had a smaller group for a holiday and instead of the normal villa we went for this apartment, and i am so glad we did. We were picked up from the airport by John and dropped off at the door.
Inside the apartment are high end kitchen appliances, wide screen tv, sat and DVD player, and a lovely big leather sofa to relax upon. Even better, in the fridge was food, beers, wine, milk, and bread in the larder etc.
The bedrooms are beautifully designed with very comfortable beds, and for those who need it, a cot (this did bring a twinkle to the wife's eyes). Again these are all high end furnishings.
The bathroom has a gloriously refreshing power shower, heaven after a day on the beach, a Bidet, and large lighted mirror to assist the ladies in their make up sessions.
Outside is a large BBQ with all the tools (used that a bit), eating area and best of all a lovely heated pool that is not too deep for the kids to use (which also has lights fitted), and for the adults a huge spa\jacuzzi pool, great at night for that relaxing dip before bed, all topped off with a shower outside as well. Dotted around the area there is ample seating with chairs, tables and sunbeds. The area is kept spotlessly clean and the pool(s) water is checked regularly.
The local area is unspoilt by major tourism and as such really is Portugal at its best, and the very favourable prices and excellent food reflect that. The views are staggering, and with the information packs provided by John and Janet, plus there indepth knowledge, you really do get a great deal done during your holiday.
The transport system is clean and very efficient, but for that special trip ask John for a guided tour, well worth the investment for the scenic routes he takes and the knowledge he provides.
Finally the owners. John and Janet are lovely people who live opposite so if you need anything they are there on hand, but are not intrusive during your stay. This couple really do make everything flow so smoothly and go that extra mile to satisfy your holiday needs, ranging from booking us restaurant meals through to finding a traditional Pizza delivery service for the kids. They really are that great and did not charge for their time or the phone calls even though we offered to pay.
If you fancy that bit of luxury at a very affordable price i would highly recommend these apartments to experience the real Portugal.
