4 superb gites in 5 acre estate in the Gers

situated in the heart of the Gers region of South West France, Our property has 4 self-catering gites in a converted 18th century barn, for 2-14 people. We have a large well kept garden with a lovely heated pool with parasols and sunbeds to relax on. There is also a private fishing lake and picnic area in a natural woodland setting. All our gites have private patios with tables and chairs, and fully fitted kitchens with microwaves, gas ovens and washing machines. We have satellite TV/radio in each gite, and a paperback library and board games. There is also a BBQ area for al-fresco dining. We are 7km from the nearest town which has restaurants, cafes, shops and banks. 2 hours driving will take you to the Pyrenees and the Atlantic coast is easy to get to and from in a day. We are surrounded by sunflower fields and vineyards, and our neighbours are farmers, wine producers and Armagnac makers. We look forward to welcoming you to this wonderful part of France. A Bientot!

what to do whilst staying here !

Our guests can enjoy our large garden which has a variety of trees including peach, apple and walnut trees for shade from the summer sun. For cooling off we have our 9 x 4.5 metre heated swimming pool and if a golden tan is required, the pool area with its loungers and parasols is a natural sun trap. When not sampling the cuisine of the many local restaurants, the barbecue area proves popular for al fresco dining, and competitive games of Boules often materialise in after dinner challenges !

The Lake and gardens

We have a natural woodland area with a oxbow lake. Its perfect for walks, picnics and fishing ! (but bring your own rods). You might come across deer grazing, and will probably see the nightingales, kingfishers and buzzards that make our woods their home. We have the friendliest neighbours, and in the area you will see the farmers, wine producers and Armagnac makers going about their daily business.

out and about

there is so much to see and do in this area - classical concerts, commune fetes all summer long, a country and western festival each year and of course the Tempo Latino music festival which is held each year, when our local town comes alive for a week to the sound of Samba music. There is also river cruises nearby, a leisure lake at Gondrin, and canoeing. The list is endless, it just depends how much you want to do !! The Pyrenees are only 2 hours drive from us, so you can explore the mountains in a day, watch the Tour de France speed by (if you pick the right dates of course) and picnic on top of a mountain and admire the stunning views to Spain.
