Highlights: the house is in quiet subdivision, pretty view, comfortable house all around, nice tv system, good bedroom layout.
Downsides: The pictures led me to view this as a new home. It is true that the owners have fixed up parts, and those are beautiful. But there are also still parts of the home that make it look older. Still functional, still comfortable, just misleading from what I see in the photos. I wish there was a backyard; it is just the pool (the golf course is RIGHT there), so no playing outside other than swimming. We had an ant problem in the bathroom, but owner said they've never had that before, so it may have been due to the unusual rains that week.
One other complaint is that you cannot adjust the air conditioning thermostat. It is kept on one temp (77' F) at all times. That being said, the house was very comfortable, so this is probably not a problem for most people. My dad initially threw a fit about it when he arrived, though, since he likes to keep things cool. It was probably a benefit to us, though, because it keeps arguments at bay.
The Hudson area is a bit shoddy, but the house is in a nice neighborhood, and it is easy access to lots of touristy gulf coast areas. The beach is nothing to brag about (we planned on taking my toddlers, then were very disappointed and left when we arrived.) I'd go so far as to say don't even plan on going to the Hudson beach, because you would probably be disappointed.
All that being said, the owners are good to work with, and as long as you don't have expectations of a high end home with great tourist needs, you will enjoy yourself.
It was a great getaway for my two toddlers and infant, since they can't really enjoy tourist attractions yet. Just a nice, comfy place to hang out, with a fun (small, but adequate) swimming pool to enjoy each day.
I wish the owners would get a better grill, but I assume they may be worried it would be stolen. So just note that the grill is like what you would find at a camp site. Not a problem, but came as a surprise to us.
We recommend it to families that are just look for a nice, relaxing vacation. Definitely worth the price, and as I mentioned in the title, we are definitely planning to return next summer. My parents came with us, and they were, overall, very happy as well.

The location of our holiday home is a quiet, residential one but surrounded by a wonderful golf course giving a nice parkland feel. There are nearby shops, supermarkets, 24 hour pharmacies and a petrol station but none of these facilities are so close as to spoil in any way the quiet and prestigious feel of the residential area in which the house is situated.
The house itself has been fully renovated, totally redecorated and all of the fixtures, fittings, carpets, bed linens and appliances are all less than 18 months old and many less than 3 months old.
We will take forward the comments regarding the BBQ but would advise that it is against fire regulations to have one inside of the pool screen and so an 'In Ground Park Style BBQ' is our only option.
What you can see in the photographs, together with the additional pictures sent at the time of enquiry, is what you get - a very clean, very well kept and up to date holiday home with modern decorations, fixtures and fittings that include fully equipped kitchen, full cable TV , 42 inch Plasma TV , full wireless internet access and complimentary telephone calls to mainland USA and Canada. With 3 full bathrooms and 2 family rooms there is plenty of space and with tiled floors and vaulted ceilings the whole house is both cool and inviting. In addition all of the bedrooms have walk in closets with plenty of space to hang clothes and for storage.
There is a full laundry room with brand new oversized washing machine and seperate brand new tumble dryer as well as an iron and ironing board so that all of your needs can be met - a real home away from home.
In addition to this we have a pool safety fence if required, as well as a cot and a high chair again all complimentary.
With Honeymoon Island, Caladessi Island and Clearwater Beach all within easy travelling distance you have 3 of America's best beaches on your doorstep, if a beach holiday is what you are looking for.
The Weeki Wachi river is nearby and Busch Gardens is less than 45 minutes drive from the house.
Furthermore having visited this part of Florida well over a dozen times both my wife and I are well placed to answer questions on attractions, eating out, shopping and any other activities that renters may wish to enjoy whilst on holiday.
