A championship golf course, Villamartin, along with 2 other fabulous greens--Las Ramblas and Campoamor, are within 10 minutes drive, as are several Blue Flag beaches, including La Zenia, Playa Flamenca and Campoamor. Or drive down the coast to enjoy the soft, mineral-laden air and try out a healthy mud bath at the Mar Menor. Visit shops, water parks, and sea-side promenades at nearby Torrevieja, enjoy a savoury Paella in historic Yecla, taste Jumilla's wines and buy fresh olives in a different open-air market village every day of the week. Notes: 'Alegria' is a family-friendly, self-catering apartment with all the comforts of home. There is curb-side parking just outside your door and your own sunny patio to be enjoyed all year round. The cable TV system receives all English channels as well as movie and sports channels, and the DVD player (bring your own DVDs) offers additional indoor entertainment. There is some light reading in the book case, and a CD player is also available (bring your own music). An internet cafe and pay phone are just up the street. However, since the Costa Blanca boasts 320 days a year of sunshine, most people live outdoors; the large communal swimming pool is secure for residents only, and is only steps from your front door. Your private patio has a picnic table and four chairs, as well as a BBQ grill for those long sunny evenings. Please NOTE: NO SMOKING inside the apartment.

Would come back

We would come back to the area and to the apartment. Excellent value for money, the food is much cheaper than in the UK, cheap flights, beautiful beaches. The apartment was very clean (we have rented several times before, this one is the best), in a quite area, great pool just a few steps away, everything you need is there, very friendly agents and the owner. Thank you!

A relaxing getaway

The apartment is located in a quiet street and ideal for a family getaway. Shops and bars are in easy walking distance. A regular bus service gives access to the beach.

My son loved the pool, which is very well maintained. It is just a few yards from the front door.

The apartment is very clean and the kitchen has everything you need. Air conditioning in every room was an added bonus.

We had a wonderful stay and have already recommended this apartment to friends.

Bliss!!!

Our aim for the week was to laze by the pool, soak up some sunshine, eat and sleep!! All of which 'Alegria' was a perfect setting for.
The accomodation was spotless,very comfortable and had all the facilities you need! The neighbourhood was very friendly and welcoming and provided some entertainment, with the exchanges between apartments!! Although mostly a very quiet neighbourhood. Robbie and Isabel were wonderful both in collecting and returning us to the airport as well as giving us a run down of the area and all the info we needed.

The pool was beautiful and quiet, only draw back was it doesn't have loungers or umbrellas. The apartment had two which we used.

There is a great supermarket nearby which is 10 min walk and has all you need. Also plenty of eateries nearby, which were great value. We ate in and out...

All in all it was a perfect break for two girls needing some sunshine, rest and relaxation. If we were to go for any longer than 6days would definately reccommend hiring a car.

Was a wonderful holiday!! Thank you!

Relaxing Spring Break

We stayed in Alegria for a week at the end of March beginning of April and have a lovely relaxing time. The sun shone on the patio of the apartment from early morning till around 7pm in the evening. Inside and outside area were spotlessly clean and the main bed was especially comfortable. I would suffer with a bad back but found it more comfortable than most top class hotels. It was really handy having a washing machine in the apartment and full size fridge and freezer. Air conditioning was great during the day as was the heat at night.

We hired a car online before flying out and got a good deal for the week. It was great having it to be able to see a little further afield. There is a lovely long stretch of sandy beach about a 5 minute drive from the apartment.

Robbie and Isobel who look after the apartment are Scottish and really go out of their way to help in any way. He recommended some lovely resturants for us to eat in and also gave us directions to the local market where I got a lovely wee 'designer' bag for 13 euro. The orange and lemon groves either side of the road made a beautiful sight on the way there.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely apartment to anyone.

ideal quiet get away

My husband and I got a present of a week end away in this lovely apartment. It was as the pictures show, spotlessy clean and very welcoming.We got lost driving from the airport so it was great having a welcoming pack there for us. The caretaker Robbie was most helpful and he doubles as a Taxi if necessary. We were there off season so it was very relaxing and quiet.The local beach is lovely with a lovely beach walk and nice restaurants.
The best restaurant that we found was La Cafet on the way to the beach.Alicante is well worth a visit but remember that all the museums close on mondays.
I would definitly recommend this apartment.
