The nine-hole public Chip Shot Par 3 course, is easy to walk and its narrow fairways and undulating greens provide great short game practice. Going upmarket, the three executive 9-hole courses at the Burnt Store Marina and Country Club are played in three 18-hole combinations and offer challenging golf in beautifully scenic conditions with all the amenities of an upscale resort. Most courses have been designed to suit all levels of golfing ability and are on terrain that is easy to walk.

Fishermen’s Village, on Punta Gorda’s waterfront, has become known as SW Florida’s most interesting and exciting vacation complex. As well as a huge marina with cruise boats and fishing boats, there are all kinds of exclusive shops and boutiques, superb restaurants, and terrific nightlife, with visiting acts that change daily. The facility also offers daily organized activities and events for visitors, a heated swimming pool and speed boats, jet skis and bicycles available for rental.
On river-boat tours from Punta Gorda visitors experience the magic of cruising silently through pristine mangrove and cypress swamps, with alligators, manatees, eagles, ospreys, and other beautiful and exotic wildlife close at hand. For the more adventurous swamp buggy expeditions offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see panthers, Florida cracker cattle, white tailed deer, rare swamp birds, and dozens of wild alligators close at hand.

Golf:
Blue Heron Pines.
This well-maintained course has two lakes coming into play on two holes. The fairways vary from wide to narrow. Most of the fairways are lined with Queen Palms and pine trees, and the greens are large. Holes #3 and #7 feature a double green like the ones found in Scotland. The terrain is flat and easy to walk.
Twin Isles Country Club.
Formerly known as Burnt Store Country Club, this course's tree-lined fairways vary from tight to open in width and are well bunkered. Water hazards come into play on several holes. The greens are always well maintained and putt true. Reciprocal play is allowed only with other local private clubs.
St. Andrews South Golf Club.
This course is extremely well manicured. The greens are among the most appreciated in South Florida. This is a placement course with very tight fairways.
Burnt Store Marina & Country Club.
This resort has three executive nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. There is water that comes into play more often on the Osprey Course. The courses were cut out of the woods and are scenic. The courses are located within a marina community, which has many dining facilities and shops.
Chip Shot Par 3 Golf Course.
This target course is an excellent place to practice your short game. The fairways are narrow, and the small greens are undulating. There is a pond that comes into play on four holes. The terrain is flat and easy to walk.
