Do I need a car?

Yes, because there are so many wonderful things to see and places to go, you will need a car at this property. There is a bar with light meals on site and a few restaurants & bats within walking distance and taxis are easily available but to get the best out of your time here you need a car.

How far to the nearest beaches?

It's about a 15 minute drive to the nearest beaches. Within 30 minutes you can see most of the beaches south of the Lisbon harbour and all the beaches up past Sintra. And if you can't be bothered to drive, you've always got the swimming pool to relax by!

Golf Information:

Manique has many fine golf courses close by – all of them very different to those found of the Algarve and the Costa Azul. The courses benefit from a fabulous coastline with many large sandy beaches. Oitavos Golfe has been classified as one of the finest golf experiences in Europe with the Atlantic Ocean and the Sintra hills visible from most of the holes. The two courses at Penha Longa have the reputation of being two of the most challenging in the area. Another challenging course, which becomes increasingly difficult with each hole, can be found a short drive away at Belas against a backdrop of the hills of Sintra. Other golf clubs in the Manique area include: Quinta da Beloura; Estoril Golf; and, the most historic club, Lisbon Sports Club which was founded by British residents in 1880.
