This is a wonderful location to admire the beauties of the Sicilian landscapes and archaeological sites,to bath in the warm waters of the Mediterranean sea while enjoying the quietness of a private bay. From Costa Saracena, the most famous places can be easily and quickly reached: Catania, Noto, Siracusa, Mount Etna, Taormina, Ragusa, Piazza Armerina, Marzamemi…, just to cite some of them. Culinary breaks are a “must” in those areas. In fact the regional Sicilian culinary tradition is here superlatively represented. From the well-known Arancini, to the famous 'Pasta con la Norma' as well as the worldwide known 'Cannoli alla siciliana'. Nonna Maria, the landlady, with her “volcanic” personality will be your “accuileur” and 'mentor'.

Beautiful holiday flat at Costa Saracena!

We've spent six wonderful days at Maria's and Nando's home!

We found a well-equipped and delightful clean, spaceous flat with a wonderful view to the sea. Everything you needed was there and the flat is created with love and a personal note. The environment was very calm and we felt safe in the protected zone of the holiday village.

Maria and Nando were perfect hosts and they offered a service to us, we would have never imagined!!! Thank you again for the warm welcome, the quite good recommendations and explanations and as well for the great homemade cake and marmelade!

The only thing you need to know, if you rent the flat is, that you have to have a car to reach the sights in the surrounding - but everything can be reached easily by car.
You have to see Siracusa, Catania, the Etna,...

We can only really recommend this accomodation and hope to come back again one day!

Feals like Heaven....

We spent a wonderful week in the appartment! It is really a beautiful house with view on the sparkeling blue sea and - when the view is clear enough - to the Etna. Nando even showed us how to get on the terrace on the roof where you can sit in comfortable chairs, drink our wine and enjoy the great view.

The appartment is very clean, perfectly equipped and has everything you need to spent a great holiday there, including air condition and a barbecue place. Maria was such a nice host for us! She gave us great ideas what to visit in the area and was preparing delicious food: Pasta a la Norma a la Bellini and a vegetable rice dish. Also her orange marmelade tastes great. One week was definitly too short: Syrakus, Noto, Catania, the Etna, Taormina...there are so many places you can easily reach by car.

We also would have liked to spend more time swimming and snorkeling on the nice rocky beach down the house. The house and the area felt very safe, quiet and private, so it is an ideal location to relax.

We absolutely can recommend this accomodation and we hope that maybe we can come back another time.

Delightful Holiday

The property is very clean, well maintained and spacious, with a beautiful view in the front. Air conditioners are in every room. House is located on sea front, just a few steps from rocky beach. Maria is a nice charming lady, helpful and kind, who made us feel as at home. Nando was a very helpful, shown us around fist day we arrived.

We had a wonderful time in Marias cottage.
Contrary to our expectations the weather was fantastic...(July,09). The apartment has super air conditioning and the balconies receive the afternoon breeze which is a delight. We had all our meals al fresco in the vine covered gazebo ...great.
The apartment was immaculately clean ...after years of villa rentals this was the cleanest ..no grunge in corners.
Maria was a fabulously helpful and accomodating LADY.
No question went unresearched and no request refused.

Wonderful Hospitality [w/o even staying over!]

My parents recently stayed here with another couple and had a marvelous time. Their stay overlapped Father's Day and so I contacted the owners to ask if they could arrange a gift basket to be delivered with a message on that day. Nando and Maria were so accomodating and enthusiastic, making the surprise even more special. My father said that Maria did a beautiful job and the basket was gorgeous [they even had to bring some of the cheese home!]. He was absolutely delighted. Mille grazie to Nando and Maria, for helping all my father's "kids" celebrate him from afar!!
