Résidence Villa 3 is a newly refurbished three bedroom duplex apartment (including mezzanine) on the top two floors of a traditional Chamonix building. The lower floor comprises an open plan living and dining area with a double sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a twin/double bedroom, a shower room and a bathroom. On the upper level there is a further twin/double bedroom and a single mezzanine room. The apartment is reached via three flights of stairs. The apartment has recently been refurbished to a high standard with modern design throughout. There is a TV, DVD player, and Wi-Fi access. Skiing and Snowboarding: Chamonix is one of the world's most famous ski areas, having hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels are well-served in a variety of differing areas around Chamonix, including Brevent, Flegere, the famous Grands Montets and Domaine du Balme. The Mont Blanc pass also covers nearby areas including Les Houches, St Gervais, Megeve, Courmayeur and Les Contamines, all within an easy drive. Slightly further afield, but within an hour's drive are Verbier, La Thuile, Flaine and Les Carroz. Despite its reputation as an area for experts only, there are plenty of green, blue and red runs to satisfy beginners and intermediates alike. For the more experienced, Chamonix has miles and miles of adventurous off-piste, including the famous Vallee Blanche, an 18km experience from the Aiguille du Midi down to the town.

Summer: With the draw of Europe's premier natural attraction, Mont Blanc, Chamonix never sleeps. Whether it's simply to soak up the stunning scenery or get the adrenaline pumping, there is plenty for everybody to do all year round. There are a wide variety of marked trails for hiking and trekking; well-maintained bolted routes for rock-climbing; limitless mountaineering opportunities including Mont Blanc itself; an ever-expanding network of mountain bike trails; some of the most consistent thermals for superb paragliding; raging white water rapids for rafting and hydro speeding; canyoning and abseiling down the spectacular valley gorges; golf at the Trent Jones Sr designed 18 hole course in Chamonix, as well as many other top quality courses nearby; the sports centre has an indoor and outdoor 50m swimming pool and a large grassed sunbathing area, water slides, numerous tennis courts, gym, spa, Jacuzzi, the list goes on!

Two fantastic holidays!!

If you haven't visited Chamonix yet then you must! This was our second trip - we had such a fantastic time last summer when we stayed at the flat that we couldn't wait to return for a week of skiing in March. Chamonix has so much to offer all year round and the flat is in a great location, very central with shops and restaurants close by. With views of Mont Blanc from the kitchen window, we fell in love with the place. The cable car to reach Aiguille de Midi close which allows easy access to lovely mountain walking routes in the summer. During the ski season Chamonix is well linked to the ski slopes by regular buses. Plenty of apres ski too!

The flat has been decorated to a very high standard, and was extremely well equipped. Comfy beds and luxurious touches like underfloor heating in the bathroom!! We would highly recommend Chamonix and are definitely planning to go back to the flat for another ski holiday in 2010 !

Terrific apartment in an excellent location

The apartment and its location were both terrific. The apartment is roomy, with all required mod cons, good beds and high quality general fixtures and fittings (including a great shower!). We enjoyed the self catering option and dined in the apartment on several evenings, comfortably catering for 8 people. It was also easy and convenient to dine out in Chamonix as the apartment is located right in the heart of the town. The Aiguille du Midi cable car is at the end of the street, the main bus stop for all ski areas is just 2 streets away, as is the main shopping area. I have recommended this apartment to all of my friends and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

What a beautiful apartment! It's given me some internal decor ideas for my flat at home...
Beautifully maintained apartment and the beds are very comfortable!
Great views of lovely Chamonix and very central, very good access to amenities.
Would definitely stay again and be very happy to recommend this apartment.
