Votsalo Villas are situated in the peaceful and traditional area of Halikeri and only 15 mins walk (under 5 mins drive) to Agia Jerusalim beach and 20 mins walk to the cove of Alaties . Both have tavernas. The village of Maganos with tavernas, supermarket and greengrocers is 5 mins away by car. The resort of Fiskardo with its boutiques, restaurants, bank, cash points, supermarkets, post office, boat hire and diving school is a 10 mins drive. There is a medical centre at Vasilikades 15 mins drive away. Argostoli, the island’s capital with its busy seafront market, shops and museums is 1 hour’s drive.

Superb Summer Getaway

We spent two weeks at Villa Emplisi in August 2009. We were two famillies four adults and four children, aged 16, 15, 11 and 8. The villa was in a beautiful location with stunning views and gorgeous sunsets. (Note there is a small church and graveyard next to the villa) It is pretty remote and so a car is an essential. However there were two lovely beaches within a five minute drive in either direction, both well worth a visit and both have very good tavernas. Actually the Taverna at Agios Jerusulum is amazing, we had the best food of our holiday there and in fact were very sorry we didn't discover it till towards the end of the holiday...he also does takeways!! The villa itself was great very comfortable and spacious with pretty much everything you needed, but no washing machine! Great pool and very comfortable sunloungers and seating. Would highly recommend this villa for large groups or two famillies, as long as you don't mind driving. You could walk to both tavernas about 15-20 mins there but it is uphill pretty much all the way on the return journey, good for walking off all those calories!
