Praia Del Rey Golf & Country Club enjoys an enviable and stunning location on the Silver Coast. The Beach:
The beach at Praia Del Rey is spectacular and is regarded as one of the most scenic stretches of coastline. Very often deserted, it offers stunning views across to the Berlengas Islands and benefits from a pleasant breeze throughout summer. A lifeguard is on duty (seasonal). There is safer swimming available close by at the Obidos lagoon which is particularly suited to smaller children.

Apart from golf, the area offers numerous sporting/leisure activities: Obidos Lagoon - Windsurfing and sailing is available nearby at the Water Sports Club on Obidos Lagoon. Surfing - This area of the Atlantic Coast offers some of the best surfing in Europe. Diving - As well as offering fabulous scenery and fauna Berlengas Islands have an incredible natural scenery with calm and crystalline waters that are renowned for diving. Tennis(7 courts) - Praia Del Rey offers one of the regions best Tennis Centres with a total of 7 courts. Equipment is available to hire as well as instruction if required. Courts can be hired on a one off basis/through the use of an unlimited play card. Karting - Is available at nearby Bombarral on a good circuit. Spa - Located at the 5* Marriott Hotel offering fantastic treatments for men and women. Water Slide Park, Peniche – Open during the summer the park offers various slides and pool.
Golf:
The Lisbon Coast has recently picked up the IAGTO Golf Destination of the Year 2007 with Praia D El Rey winning Golf Resort of the Year 2007. The course was also rated No. 1 by the internationally recognised Peugeot Golf Guide, Gold Award Winner for the Best Golf Development by the 2004 Home Overseas Award. It is set within extensive grounds of pine forest and sand dunes with spectacular views over the Atlantic and the Berlenga Islands beyond. The 72 par links style course is a good test for both the high handicapped golfer as well as the more advanced player. There is a well equipped Golf shop where lessons with a pro can be booked. The apartment overlooks the driving range to the front and first fairway to the back. To book a round of golf you will need an official handicap. Buggies, trolleys and clubs are available to rent. Nearby golf courses include Bom Successo, Golden Eagles, Penha Longa & Quinta da Marinha in Lisbon.
