The town centre features a selection of restaurants and shops and is within a five minute walk or just a few minutes drive.Estoi becomes the centre for one of the largest markets in the Algarve second Sunday of every month.Here you will see tourist and locals alike bartering to buy everything. Islands Armona Culatra and Farol are considered by some guide books to have the finest beaches in the whole of Portugal . Beach and the luxury resorts of Quinta do Lago & Vale do Lobo whitin a 25 minutes drive.

Fabulous holiday

7 of us age ranging from early 30s to early 80s have just spent a fabulous week in this very roomy villa. Extremely well equipped, very comfortable and clean. Great pool which is kept very clean.

We didn't have or need a car. The walk into Estoi takes 5 - 10 minutes and we were able to buy everything we needed in the village. Estoi is a delightful sleepy village with plenty of cafes, restaurants, bars and shops and the only slight downside was that Estoi is quite hilly and not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.

We used taxis to and from the airport and also a couple of times to and from Faro. For seven of us it was just as cheap as using buses (all journeys between 15 and 20 Euros) and gave door to door service. We left a mobile number in the Villa for the company we used.

The owners, Maryanne and her husband, were on hand if we needed any help but not at all intrusive. The whole booking service was very easy and Maryanne replied instantly to all of our emails.

All in all we would definitely recommend this villa for a relaxing holiday.

Nice, quiet and pretty close to everything

We were 2 families in the mid 30's with 1 baby each who spent a wonderful week at this villa.

If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet place to stay - or simply a good place to live while exploring Algarve - this place comes highly recommended.

Cleanliness: Spotless - everything was clean (including the pool). There were also open spaces which made it easier for our little children to play without us having to worry too much about them all the time.

Owner: Very helpful - gave advice on places to shop and generally was very friendly. She even had installed babybeds by the time we arrived - very nice feature indeed.

Internet worked without problems which was nice -

Staying at this property without a car is however not recommended - it's close to Estoi but for major shopping and restaurants you need to go to Faro which is about 12-13 km away. And as we found out - Algarve in mid-june was very hot. So generally the house is perfect for peace and relaxation - if you want a bit more action you should aim at Albufeira or something like that.

There were also air-conditions in the 2 major bedrooms now so that was not a problem as stated in the review from last year.

We had a great time - and I recommend the place!

Best Holiday

This was our first visit to Portugal and we stayed for two weeks at Casa Ornela, it was the best holiday ever. The villa was so clean and tidy, it was equipped with everything you could possibly need. We even made friends with Mariana's cat she came to visit at every meal time! The pool was fab it was also kept very clean for our use.Only down side the twin bedroom could do with air conditioning. Thank you Mariana and Claudio

Casa sossegada bem equipada e limpa com boas condições para descansar sem stress,longe de tudo e ao mesmo tempo perto dos centros (faro,olhão).
Bons quartos com A.C, piscina muito agradável e limpa muito espaço para estacionar viaturas,com jardim.
Ideal para casais com filhos.
