Newly-renovated with luxury fitted kitchen (dishwasher, fridge-freezer, fan oven, ceramic hob, etc), 3 new bathrooms, excellent heating, comfortable furniture, new carpeting and cosy bedrooms. 2 sitting rooms both with TV/DVD, 1 downstairs bathroom with shower, WC and basin. Full-size double sofa-bed in smaller sitting room giving options for extra 2 people. Perfect for groups - able to seat up to 20 people for meals making it ideal for special occasions, get-together, reunions and family events. Ideally located for access to all the major Peak District attractions from stately homes (such as Chatsworth and Haddon Hall) to picturesque towns and villages (Buxton, Bakewell, Matlock, Ashbourne) from energetic activities (walking, climbing, cycling, horse riding) to fantastic scenery (Monsal Head, Dovedale, Castleton, etc). The Peak District has something for everyone. Alton Towers is only about 30-40 minutes away. Carsington Water offers sailing, windsurfing, canoing and other watersports as well as mountain biking.

We spent 22nd - 26th December 2008 in Ash cottage at Haddon Grove farm cottages. Our stay was fantastic!! Our biggest requirement was to have wheelchair access and Ash cottage was great for this. The cottage exceeded all of our expectations and the photos on the website do not do it justice at all. Ash cottage was spotlessly clean and brilliantly equipped. Having stayed in a fair few self catering accomodations I can honestly say that this was the best equipped ever!! The attention to detail was fantastic and the cottage was so warm and comfortable (I would have happily moved in to live there!) The beds were so clean and comfortable it was a struggle to get up in the morning. The location of the accomodation was lovely and the views from the windows out onto rolling countryisde were just gorgeous. We visited nearby Chatsworth House which is just beautiful and a very short drive away and we also went to Buxton and Bakewell. The whole area is just lovely but I would definitely say that you need a car if you're staying at the cottages. The owners of the cottages were very friendly and welcoming and definitely made you fell that they would go the extra mile to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Overall our stay was fantastic and our only regret is that we weren't staying longer! We would definitely recommend Haddon Grove farm cottages and will hopefully return in the future........
Owner's Response: Very pleased that the cottage exceeded expectations! In fact it is already even nicer as has now had a new kitchen (with dishwasher), solid wood flooring to main living areas, new central heating and re-decoration! Come and see...
