Also a Children’s Play Area, lots of outdoor seating and BBQ's Haddon Grove Farm has flexible Peak District self-catering accommodation for everyone from couples looking for a cosy hideaway to families to groups. With space for up to 50 people, we can meet most needs! Superb location for walking, cycling, riding, climbing and all major Peak District Attractions. Short breaks welcome - Open all year round. 2 bedroom cottage sleeping 4 people. Most situated around a sunny, tranquil courtyard. Several newly-renovated with luxury fitted kitchens (dishwasher, fridge-freezer, fan oven, ceramic hob, etc), bathrooms, excellent heating, comfortable leather furniture, solid wood flooring and cosy bedrooms. All very well-equipped with fitted kitchen (fan oven, hob, microwave, fridge) open plan sitting/dining/kitchen with TV/DVD, bathrooms with bath and shower over or walk-in shower. Several cottages set up to seat groups for meals (up to 20 people) making them ideal for special occasions, get-together, reunions and family events. Ideally located for access to all the major Peak District attractions from stately homes (such as Chatsworth and Haddon Hall) to picturesque towns and villages (Buxton, Bakewell, Matlock, Ashbourne) from energetic activities (walking, climbing, cycling, horse riding) to fantastic scenery (Monsal Head, Dovedale, Castleton, etc). The Peak District has something for everyone. Alton Towers is only about 30-40 minutes away. Carsington Water offers sailing, windsurfing, canoing and other watersports as well as mountain biking.

Family Easter at Haddon Grove Farm Cottages

We were very impressed with the standard of homely touches provided with 'extras' e.g. pump soaps, hand towel in the bathroom, a chocolate frog in the welcome pack as it was realised that we had one (or more) small children with us. The properties (we took two) were spotlessly clean and even early arrivals were made to feel welcome. There were flowers as well. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The family really enjoyed the swimming pool that got thorough usage (twice a day!) With children between 10 years and 10 months, there are opportunities for all within easy reach. The setting is excellent with easy access to a choice of walks of varying standards and ground conditions. Clearly these owners care about their property and, more importantly, about their visitors. I certainly hope we will be able to arrange a return visit. At the risk of increasing demand so much that we are not able to book when we next wish to, we would certainly recommend these cottages.
