It is located at the fourth floor (no elevator) of a renovated 19th C building in old historic Lisbon. Being on the top floor, the wonderful views over the river and city roofs, its elegant decoration and the big windows makes it a romantic, elegant and luminous apartment. The apartment has an area of 75 m2 and has been renovated to include the following: one bedroom with a double bed (160 cm); one living room with a double sofa bed (130 cm), sitting and dining area, satellite TV and hifi; it has also access to the terrace; a complete kitchen with microwave, gas oven and stove, fridge with freezer, washing and drying machine and everything else you could need; a bathroom with bathtub. The sitting room has air conditioning for cold and warm and there are also electric heaters. We will welcome you with a bottle of cold “vinho verde”. You will also find in the apartment various CDs with typical Portuguese music to complete your cultural.

Apartment is located at Príncipe Real (elegant 18C and 19C neighbourhood with a pleasant centenarian park having a quiet open air café and the water museum, next door to some remarkable neighbourhoods: Bairro Alto (well know by it's nightlife, restaurants and Fado houses), São Bento (place of the palace with the same name, site of the Portuguese parliament) and Rato (where is the closest subway station). In this square there is a bio market every Saturdays. Here you are close to the city centre that can be reached by foot in about 15 minutes. In the neighbourhood, there are several very good restaurants and bars, all kind of commerce, including antique shops, the park of Principe Real and the Botanical Garden of the University Clássica of Lisbon. You can also go to all the restaurants and bars of Bairro Alto where the sentimental 'fados' are still sung in some restaurants and cafés. It is also 10-15 minutes walking to Rossio, the center of Baixa.

Lovely location, wonderful owner

We stayed for 3 nights in July, 2009. Our only regret was not staying an entire week or longer. The apartment is fantastic - amazing views (Flores 2) and a lovely, quiet building and neighborhood. It was easy enough for us to walk to everything - shops, restaurants, or the nearest bus line to taxi stand to get to the rest of Lisbon. The kitchen had everything we could think of for simple meals. Dishwasher was nice extra and the bedroom had lots of extra towels and blankets. The rooms were spacious, and being on the top floor, very quiet. In July, the air-conditioning was much appreciated, esp. after the four floors up from the street (and the hills of Lisbon overall!).
But the best part was Alex - he was such an amazing host, even in helping with booking details and transportation before we got to Lisbon. He was a fantastic and generous resource for us with all our tourist questions and really made us feel welcome.

Spacy cosy flat full of light

Having tested several holiday flats in Lisbon I must say this is my favourite so far. The flat is nicely decorated and well equipped to modern standards. It is perfect for two, even ok for four people. In this flat you do not have to worry that noise from the street would disturb your sleep. The flat is also very clean that I appreciate very much. I am looking forward to staying in this flat another time.

We spent a week in September in the top floor apartment of the building. It had a terrace and views of the river. There was air-conditioning, a large living room, a tiny dining corner and a well-equipped kitchen. Bedroom and bath were spacious as well. Will return in a minute except one must definitely commit to walking up 5 flight of stairs. Historical buildings come with historical set-backs. The landlord was wonderful! Will definitely rent from them again when we return to Lisbon. Add an extra tip for the pizza delivery man!
