The apartment is ideally situated on the outskirts of the medieval town of Cetona, with a splendid view over the valley and distant mountains. It is a short walk from all the local amenities, including restaurants, cafes, and shops. Within a few minutes you can be amongst the hustle and bustle of a truly Italian atmosphere with its busy piazza, but the house itself is in a quiet location. The apartment is brand new, built a year ago and is available for rent from summer 2008. It has been tastefully designed in the old traditional Tuscan style. It is on two levels, connected by a spiral staircase and accommodates 5 people in 2 bedrooms (one double and two single beds). Outside the kitchen there is a balcony, where you can eat al fresco. On the top floor there is a roof top terrace with loggia (summerhouse), where you can enjoy magnificent views over the surrounding countryside or sunbathe in total privacy. There is a shared private swimming pool that can be used by all apartments.

Cetona is a beautifully preserved medieval hilltop town, strategically situated midway between Rome and Florence. It has fine views of Monte Cetona, is surrounded by pretty hills planted with cypresses and pine trees, and has a typically medieval, circular plan centred on the crest of a hill. Recognised as one of the most beautiful medieval towns of Tuscany, Cetona has everything you need: restaurants, cafes, markets, grocery stores, interesting shops, and it's all on your doorstep. The tourist office is in the central square (the piazza) and offers maps of local hikes plus many suggestions of what the area offers. Although a vacation in Cetona typically means rest and tranquillity in a picturesque landscape, in the last few decades the area has become fashionable for all kinds of tastes: culture, vineyards, thermal baths, footpaths, monasteries, sports, excellent food, cafeterias, and numerous festivals.

We stayed in this new, beautiful, clean, conveniently located apartment the last week of October and it was fantastic. We had the best weather, and the views from every window are breathtaking. You could just lay in bed and watch the sun rise over the mountain tops while drinking your coffee. It is very restful and quiet this time of year. The town of Cetona is lovely, and has some very good restaurants as well as a butcher, baker, and some interesting little shops. Even though most of the town does not speak English, we managed to communicate with the locals very well (we used alot of sign language). A welcome basket was much appreciated the night we arrived. All was perfect and we can't wait to go back to Tuscany to this wonderful apartment which is only a 12 minute drive from Chiusi train station and the A-1 autostrada. You can easily drive to many famous places, like Orvieto, Montepulciano, thermal baths, wineries, etc. This is a paradise and a great place to stay if you are looking for a Tuscan holiday that includes great food, special wines and olive oils, relaxation, and peace and quiet especially after visiting all the many beautiful and hectic cities of Italy. The owners are very helpful and attended to all our needs even though they do not live locally. Choosing this apartment is the best vacation decision you will make for your family and friends. Just advise them that they will be carrying their bags up stairs and to pack lightly. Ciao! Cara, Joy, Eileen, and Bev

Cetona Apartment

This is a great 2-Bedroomed Apartment on a small, well maintained estate; 5 minutes walk from the centre of Cetona. The construction and decor are of a high standard. The Kitchen is well equipped and the Living/Dining Area is very comfortable. There are great views from the balcony outside the Kitchen, we spent hours watching people walking up and down the lanes and harvesting grapes and olives from the fields below.

Cetona itself is charming with a great square in which to watch the world go by, though nobody seemed in a particular hurry to go anywhere in particular. There is a supermarket on the way to the square from the Apartment and in the square itself there is a Butchers, a Bakers, a Greengrocery, a Wine Shop and a superb Delicatessen. There are 2 Cafe Bars and at least 3 very good Restaurants.

The surrounding countryside is beautiful, in fact it almost epitomises the stereotypical Landscape you see in Brochures or on Travel Programmes. Montepulciano, Montalcino and Chiusi are well worth a visit. We were in Cetona in the first week in October and the weather was warm and sunny (about 25 deg C). We even had a dip in the pool.

I would happily recommend this Apartment to friends and family.

This is a beautifull apartment with breathtaking view from balcony & windows. There is a pool near apartment. The desccription is accurate regarding the location & facilities. The apartment was perfectly clean & there was a welcome pack on our arrival. The owner wrote a letter with many helpful informations for us. I'll recomend this apartment to my friends & I'm going to this apartment in next year.

Cetona Apartment

This is a stylish, spacious apartment in a new block a short walk from the town centre, with terrific views over the valley from the kichen, terrace and bedrooms. There was a generous welcome pack on our arrival, and eveywhere was clean and like new. Our visit was in late October, when the weather was variable and the pool was shut. However, the local area is interesting and the major Tuscan towns are easily accessible by the Autostrada, which is only a couple of miles away. An excellent small supermarket just a minute away and a good choice of reastaurants and bars in the town centre made eating out and shopping easy without using the car.
