EVERYONE WANTS TO STAY IN CENTRAL TAVIRA! Large, bright, spacious duplex apartment in private gated development with swimming pool and satellite TV. Open roof top views and outside terraces for eating. Air-conditioned throughout. Two bedrooms (one with a balcony), luxury bathroom, large kitchen, large living room with French windows. Huge games room/third bedroom upstairs with a small terrace. Good quality table football and large electric air-hockey table. Three minutes walk through cobbled streets to the main square and River Gilao. There’s a wide range of restaurants ranging from smart and sophisticated to local and casual. Tavira boasts a huge indoor market (fresh fruit and veg, meat and fish) three minutes walk away. Several golf courses nearby. Catch a boat to the glorious long sandy beach (life guarded), it has some great cafes and restaurants and is really quiet further along. You don’t need a car.

Tavira 'The jewel of the Algarve' is on your doorstop. Whether you want to wander romantic cobbled streets looking at the 37 churches or soak up the sun on huge expanses of sandy beaches - Tavira is a wonderful place for a holiday.

Restaurants range from smart and sophisticated to local and casual. If you’d rather eat in, Tavira boasts a huge indoor market (fresh fruit and veg., meat and fish) three minutes walk away. Otherwise, just sit back and watch the world go by in a one of the pavement cafes.

The glorious long sandy beaches stretch for miles. The nearest called 'The island' is reached by a short boat ride (leaves from the town centre in Summer, 20 minutes walk at other times). There are no roads or hotels but there are still some great cafes and restaurants selling the freshest fish you could eat!

Tavira makes a great centre for golf holidays. There are several in the area.

Nearby Faro is a great town to explore (catch the train) and go shopping.

We reserve the right to cancel bookings if the deposit or balance are not paid when requested. The balance is part refundable on cancellation: 75% within 55 to 42 days before rental start. 50% within 41 to 28 days before rental start. 25% within 27 to 14 days before rental start. 0% if canceled less than 14 days before start.

  • Payment by bank transfer (UK account in pounds or Portuguese account in
    Euros) or PayPal (for PayPal please add 3.5% to all amounts). When the balance is paid, we would also like a returnable breakage and damage deposit of €250 / £200. This will be returned within one week of departure.

Golf: Tavira is an excellent golf centre, with some quality courses within a short distance e.g. Benamor, Quinta da Ria, Quinta de Cima and Colina Verde.

In the evening, you can stroll out of the door and into Tavira's charming restaurants and bars.

The Algarve has over 300 days of sunshine a year on average.

We have an excellent contact to provide you with very good value green fees e.g. (at the time of writing) Benamor €55 including buggy (reduced from €80 without buggy). Please ask for more details.

Golf:

There are some very good golf courses in the area such as Benamor. In te evening, you can walk out of the apartment and enjoy the restaurants of Tavira.

Tavira, a lovely place to be

we spent our summer holidays in Tavira with our 3 little children. We really enjoyed staying in this great appartment where we`ve found everything we needed.
We were glad to have the swimming pool near by, because in July and August, the heat is sometimes hard to bear. We were glad having an aircondition. Travelling to the beach island is quite fun, but with our 3 little girls sometimes a bit of affort.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Tavira Winter 2010/11

The apartment was excellent - great location, well equipped, very clean, well decorated and furnished and very cosy for winter living. It had excellent information and instructions on how to use everything such as TV/DVD etc. It was very comfortable with 3 sofas and there was lots of storage/hanging space in the bedrooms, which were very roomy. The owner was extremely helpful and gave full instructions on the arrangements. We were met (late at night) by the local manager, who had also got some supplies in for us. Tavira is a very interesting and attractive town with a castle and Roman bridge and the apartment is very close to the shops and restaurants so easy to stay there without a car.

Tavira is the best - so is this apartment

5 years on the trot - and the best place yet! We had a great 2 weeks at the apartment - clean, spacious and so very convenient. We came back home totally refreshed and relaxed - vowing to come back to Tavira yet again. Hope to see you in 2011

Tavira, sea, sand, culture.

Great apatrment in wonderful location, ideal for exploring the eastern algarve, well furnished with high quality items, every utensil you could possibly need, nice pool with decking surround, car not essential as most things are within a 5 minute walk, great support from owner and letting agent, I will be back !
