The brand new apartment is on a small complex of only 17 apartments, built to a high specification in a quiet location with communal swimming pool, gated access and parking. Around the corner from the Tomb of the Kings Road which has all amenities: banks, restaurants,pubs,shops, supermarkets,internet cafes,bus stops. The apartment has sea views, is 2 minutes down the road to the blue flag Lighthouse Beach which has a bar, sunbeds and showers. From here there is a coastal path. The apartment is situated on the ground floor with gated access from the patio to swimming pool,making it safe for small children - sunbeds are provided. The apartment has an open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen, two bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin) an en-suite bathroom and a family bathroom, fully fitted kitchen with granite worktops, dining table and six chairs, two three seater leather sofas (1 a sofa bed),LCD TV and DVD. Access from rear of apartment - one step - ideal for people with mobility problems.

The apartment is round the corner from the main road & bus routes, close to many tourist attractions, including: Coral Bay, Tomb of the Kings, Lighthouse Beach,Mozaics,Aphrodite Water Park, Paphos Aquarium,Paphos Harbour & Fort, Paphos Old Town, Jeep Safaris, Go-karting, Glass bottom boat, & several dive centres,etc. The Old Town of Paphos has a market area & many shops including M&S! There are Debenhams & Next Shops in Kato Paphos. The new seafront from around the harbour is pedestrianised & all the shops have new fronts making it very cosmopolitan. There are over 600 bars, restaurants, Cypriot tavernas & clubs in & around Paphos, including the famous Bar Street. Other places to visit a little further away are Sea Caves and the Akamas Nature Reserve, St Georgios, Limasol, Larnaca, Troodos Mountains & Mt Olympus,Polis & Latchi with it's new marina & local fish restaurants. There are 3 golf courses at Aphrodite Hills -par 70/71, Tsada -par 72, & Secret Valley -par 72.

Notes: Included in the apartment are beach towels, beach mats, children's bucket etc. Sunbeds are also provided around the pool area, but we have also provided two of our own which have canopies over. The patio area with sea views has a gate to stop young children going out to the pool, it has two levels and is fully tiled. It has 4 patio chairs and table, plus a two seater chair and two children's chairs. There is a linen change included in the rental for all customers booking 2 weeks. There is children's cutlery & plates, bowls & beakers in plastic provided. We have also provided a cool bag and ice packs. The use of a buggy and high chair can be provided on request at a small additional fee. There are a selection of DVD's and books to read. Satillite TV covers most of the UK free-to-viewchannels.

Weddings and families: Our family own the apartment next door, which also sleeps 6 people, making it ideal for friends and families, especially weddings. We also have details of our neighbours' property which also sleeps 6, so a maximum of 18 people could be accommodated at one time, if all three properties were available.

Excellent property, equiped to high specification and spotlessly clean. Close to local amenities, restaurants and bars. Short walk to beach and 15min sea front walk into Paphos harbour. There were no problems comunicating with the owners via email, and all queries etc were dealt with promptly, including sorting out taxi to/from airport and a welcome pack on arrival.

Our stay at Sirena Lighthouse Apartments

Our family stayed at this apartment on 3 September 2008 for 1 week on our first visit to Paphos. Our main reasons for choosing it were because it was ground floor with close proximity to a pool, within walking distance to all the local amenities without the use of a car and because the apartment looked absolutely spotless on the pictures - and we were not disappointed. The apartment is modern, clean and spacious, has everything you need for your break away from home and has a lovely big patio area that overlooks the pool - this was particularly good for us as our three and a half year old could quite safely splash around in the shallow end as we watched from the patio. The complex is really quiet and there were never more than half a dozen people using the pool/sunbeds the entire duration of our stay so it felt very private. Everything you need is within walking distance on the Tombs of the Kings Road which runs past the apartment (although not directly past so it's not too noisy) - supermarkets, chemists, restaurants etc., and the harbour area is a 20 minute walk away via the main road or a little longer by the coastal path and there are loads of lovely places to eat and drink there. There is a bus stop about 100 yards from the apartment and buses run regularly day and night to and from the harbour, Old Town and to the larger beach at Coral Bay. There is a small beach within 5 minutes walk of the apartment, and although it's a bit pebbly, it's fine for building sandcastles and paddling if the children fancy a change from the pool. We would definitely use the apartment again if we return to Paphos and have already raved about it to family and friends. I would say that this apartment probably has the best position on the complex due to its closeness to the pool and the fact that it has such a large patio area which gets the sun all day and is large enough for dining and sunbathing on. It's definitely ideal for families with young children - we felt totally safe sitting out on the patio while our baby and little boy took their naps inside during the day. We really liked Paphos, the weather was excellent and the apartment made our stay a very enjoyable one - a credit to it's owners.
