Near Auray, in the hamlet of Lann Rohan, our house stands in a large maintained garden, surrounded by small woods and meadows. Lann Rohan is an ideal place if you like peace and tranquillity, and is ideal for walking, cycling, sailing, fishing, birdwatching, surfing and golf at nearby St. Laurent. The accommodation includes a comfortable sitting room having two French windows onto the terrace, a large wood burning open fireplace and TV/DVD/video and radio. A dining area for six people with separate kitchen with cooker, oven and grill, a microwave and a washing machine in the garage.Garden furniture is supplied along with a barbecue and bikes of various sizes. Upstairs there is a double bedroom, with a door onto the balcony, along with two further twin bedded rooms, one with a cot. There is a recently refurbished shower room off the landing. There is also a downstairs cloakroom.The nearest village is Locoal Mendon,3.5km, with a baker, supermarket, two bars, pharmacy & post office.

Rural location,Modern detached house Sandy beaches Historic towns and outdoor activities. The property is situated in large level garden in the hamlet of Lann Rohan 2.2miles from Locoal Mendon. Auray,a typical Breton town nearby,has the historic port of St.Goustan. Carnac,an unspoilt seaside town,has world famous neolithic megaliths and sandy beaches.There is a good walk from here to La Trinite sur Mer where one will find a marina with eateries and shops. Quiberon peninsula offers beaches,shops and a boat trip to Belle Ile. On the Etel estuary one can go fishing and boating. Erdeven has a long beach,very good for surfing and swimming. Larger historic towns Vannes,where on can take a trip around the Golf of Morbihan,and at Lorient there is the submarine pen museum. Another town is Hennebont where one can stroll along the river blavet.

Quiet yet convenient location a real advantage.

We have stayed here several times and always enjoyed the very quiet location and views over farmland.Our visits have been at different times of the year and the weather has always been pleasant enough to walk often. On lazy days there is a wide selection of activities including many books, videos and games.The grounds are large and there's plenty of room for children to play safely.

The accommodation is comfortable,well decorated and clean whilst the local village offers good amenities including shopping. Just a few miles drive and you can be on the autoroute to larger towns and cities. The coast is also close. Therefore there is a good choice of things to do if you do want to venture into the area. We found several very pleasant walks across the local farmland -it took us 55 minutes through quiet leafy lanes to reach the "Les Routiers" at the autoroute intersection.

The creperie at Mendon is also well worth a visit and there are several good restaurants in Auray/St. Goustan.

We would definitely recommend this property to good friends who appreciate the qualities which endeared this delightful hide-away to us.
It is a chill out location with "oh so French" quiet lanes to wander, or cycle with gusto in safety. Poets, writers and painters will adore it.
The house is spotless and very well equipped without pretension maintaining the continuity of rural charm within.
Whilst one gains the sensation of being separated from the outside world midst the green fields and dozy cows, the village is close by and can provide the necessities for daily living. The supermarket in Belz met all our usual requirements, but the daily pad to the boulangerie in the village was a ritual with a pattern reflecting our winding down as the week progressed.
In contrast, Saint-Goustan is an attractive river/harbourside location and Quiberon boasts superb beaches. There are interesting shops to investigate and a welcome lack of tourist bric-a-brac.
We sampled excellent restaurants, but even better was the fare and ambiance at the truckers' restaurant. This is not a destination for truckers alone and amazing value for money. Do see the visitors' book for more detail.
We travel a great deal and this is one house we will be sure to return to.
