Altea holiday apartment: Altea area

After travelling several hours from Barcelona to Altea, this stop was well worth it. The views are beautiful and no matter which window of the apartment you look out of, you see fantastic views of either the sea or the mountains. We had a very relaxing time here, sitting on the balcony, enjoying the breeze off of the water. The apartment was very clean with all amenities. We liked having two separate bathrooms, one for the kids and one for us. We especially enjoyed the Hydro Massage tub! It was also nice to have the underground parking available.

While I realize that we travelled the end of May, the only real downfall to the apartment was that the pool was way too cold to swim in. Even our 11 year old son only swam it in once and this was something that he was looking forward to. It would be nice if the pool was heated.

We ate at a restaurant at the Marina that was close enough to walk to. We took a trip into Altea, walked the boardwalk that follows along the beach and stopped for lunch and an ice cream -all of which was very nice.

We travelled from Canada, didn't know what to expect but were pleased that making arrangements with owner went smoothly and hassle free.

We travelled Spain for almost four weeks staying in various regions and accommodations. It was one of the nicer accommodations that we stayed in. There is no question that if you want a relaxing holiday to just kick back, enjoy the views, read, sip on some wine, this is the place to go. If we had of been travelling without kids, we could have stayed there for one week. We stayed three nights and could have stayed another night but that would have been enough for our kids.

We feel like we have seen Spain, but if we ever return or know of someone travelling to Spain, I would highly recommend this apartment.

Such a lovely apartment with lots of different views. The photos on the site are not faked!
My favourite memory was sitting on the terrace at night watching the stars and the only sound was the sea - heaven.
The apartment was incredibly well furnished and equipped with everything you could need- the owners had clearly put loads of thought into making it a very comfortable place to stay.
Contact with the owners was friendly, helpful and efficient.
Altea (which you can see from the back of the apartment) was a short drive away. The supermarket on the main road was handy for groceries.
I would definately go back and highly recommend the apartment.
