A choice of 3 tranquil villa apartments with all amenities in this exclusive part of Malta. Quiet and peaceful yet only minutes away from the entertainment hub of Paceville and the more popular St. Julians Bay with its many restaurants and great bars. Properties also enjoys the use of a large swimming pool (41 sq m), sunbeds, deckchairs, hammock for a couple, 3 seater hammock swing, rocking bench, large umbrellas, gazebo seating for 8, barbecue area with its own fridge and kitchen facilities, shower and WC facilities by pool area. The dedicated solar heating system for the pool allows use of the pool from April to October. Access to pool area is via wooden bridge over large cascading koy fish pond. A further gazebo with vine tree is adjacent to a smaller water turtle pond. Very romantic setting in this hilltop area with extensive views of Malta, where the tropical garden and the cascading waters from the fish ponds continue to add to the serenity that the whole place seems to create.

This is a studio apartment which, although its compact size, still entails all the amenities required for one's comfort. It is considered as budget accommodation mainly because of its compact size, although it must also be mentioned that besides the two single beds (which can be put together to form a large double bed) in this open plan apartment, it also has another area where a bunk bed is located. Entrance to this apartment is down the short stairway alongside the koy fish pond, and opposite the vine tree gazebo. This apartment is also connected to apartment 1 via two communal doors (to ensure the privacy of both apartments if these are rented out separately). Should this apartment be rented out as an independent unit, then our recommendation is only for a couple or maximum a party of 3; however, if this apartment is rented out in conjunction with apartment 1, then the full 4 beds can be utilized as guests will still be able to use the dining area in the larger apartment 1.

Madliena's pristine location between two valleys provides a perfect opportunity for countryside walks. This hamlet is located on one of the highest points on the island thus helping to 'cool' down the hot summer nights with its gentle breeze off the nearby coastal areas. From here one can see right across the island, all the way from Marsaxlokk, to Mdina, Valletta, and the north of the island. An important feature in Madliena are the Victoria lines where a natural fault runs roughly east to west across the island. It was the British who, by 1900 built a series of forts with intervening walls and gun emplacements along the 12km of the ridge. Because of its vantage point, Madliena was mostly used for military reasons with the most important site being the Madliena Tower. Within close vicinity, one can also find the Meditteraneo Water Park, Malta’s only marine park. This is a popular place with its many water rides, attraction pools and marine part where one can also swim with dolphins.

Additional information about rental rates

  • While water, gas and electricity are included in the price, the main bedroom is provided with both a free standing fan and an air conditioner. The air conditioner however has its own meter and its electrical consumption is the only utility not included in the price (to be paid separately as per local rates). The price also includes satellite TV stations, wifi, pick-up from the airport, and complimentary food pack upon arrival.
  • Deposit of 30% of total amount is required to secure booking. Balance to be paid upon arrival in Malta in Euros. Rental rate is for 3 persons if this apartment is rented separate from apartment 1 Sky Blue. The cost for the additional person (4th person) is from 3.5 euros to 7 euros per day depending on the season and time of year.

    Early Arrivals
    Check-in time is 13:00 hrs, although if apartment has been vacant for at least the previous day, then this would also be available at an earlier time.

    Late Departures
    Although we will normally allow our guests to stay in the apartment right up to their departure time, there may be instances when we will have to ask guests to vacate apartment much earlier (at 10:00 hrs) in order that this can be cleaned in circumstances when we have same day arrivals. Nevertheless, guests can still utilize the pool and garden facilities, and will also be provided with a place where to change clothes and have the use of toilet and kitchen facilities.
  • LONG STAY PROPOSALS
    We are also trying to beat the credit crunch this winter and so are offering long term stays at great discount incentives, where the longer you stay (offer is from 01 November 2009 to 31 March 2010) the higher the percentage discount, as per following indicative chart (actual average monthly rental price for these 5 months is 893 euros):-
    One month stay entitles you to 20% discount on the actual price (average 715 euros per month).
    Two month stay entitles you to 25% discount on the actual price (average 670 euros per month).
    Three month stay entitles you to 30% discount on the actual price (average 625 euros per month).
    Four month stay entitles you to 35% discount on the actual price (average 580 euros per month).
    Five month stay entitles you to 40% discount on the actual priCe (average 535 euros per month).

Our pets: Our garden, although small, is very mature and extremely well kept, providing a tranquil atmosphere, also helped by the sound of the cascading waters in the background. Our own pets, (cats and dogs), other than the koy fish and turtles already mentioned, also have their own separate dens, and are well kept, pampered and cared for.

For those who want more out of their holiday: The pool and garden areas have proven to be a refreshing start or close to any day, particularly if this was a warm or even a blistering one. But Malta has much more to offer than just lazing about in the sun. For this reason we have teamed up with some of the most interesting tour, leisure and event operators on the island, providing day cruises around the Maltese archipelago on a Turkish gullet, an evening’s entertainment extravaganza live show on the 1565 Great Siege of Malta, a visit to the nearby water marine park, an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience swim with the dolphins, or how about exploring some of the most interesting dive sites in the Mediterranean. In collaboration with our friends at Go Dive Malta, we are now also able to offer this experience to practically everyone, from beginners to dive masters. Transport arrangements have also been secured for all these events to pick our guests from our apartments (or very close by).

What we stand for.: We have been called ‘a home away from home’ by some of our past guests, a name which honours us completely, and while we continue to dispense recommendations on what to do and where to go during your stay to help you better discover these culture-packed islands, we will strive to live up to that name and better our product.

Amazing holiday. Highly recommended.

I had an amazing holiday at this lovely apartment. We were made to feel welcome the moment we arrived and were very well cared for throughout our time.
The whole property was amazing with a lovely swimming pool, beautiful outside areas including a barbeque, loads of seating and both sunny and shady spots.
The villa itself was very clean and maintained and perfect for sitting in after a hard day in the sun!
I would recommend staying at this villa to anyone who wanted to visit Malta.
The area is lovely and peaceful with the villa about a 15 minute walk to the bus stop and a 5 minute bus ride into Saint Julien. Making it peaceful in the day, but easy for you to get to the shops and restaurants nearby. The beach is also a bus ride away.
The best part of the holiday was how nice and welcoming Paul and Josanne were, making us feel comfortable thoroughout our time and anything we would have needed they would be happy to help.
The pets at the house were also lovely! cats, dogs, coy fish and turtles!
We were there at the beginning of June. The weather was lovely throughout with blue skies all day and warm evenings. the weather in the day was very hot but the pool was perfect for cooling down in.

Thankyou for a lovely lovely holiday, we will definitely be trying to come back soon!

I spent 6 days in the orange flat whit my boyfriend, we really enjoyed the stay. The place was clean, well conceived and well equiped. We had access to the owners' garden and it was so beautiful, we were able to take advantage of the swimming pool, the jaccuzzi, the barbecue, the deckchairs and the garden's furnitures. The pool is heated by solar panels so the temperature is really pleasant at any time of the day. The owners are lovely, they arranged for us the car hire, but they also picked up at the airport and brought us back at the end of our stay. The property is in a very quiet and great district, on the top of the hill, the bus station is down the hill so it's better to have a car to visit easily the island. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to be in a beautiful place and have ideal holidays.

A great place to stay...

My husband, my 3 year old son and I stayed in the apartment from 8 to 15 May 2009. The place is beautiful, original and quiet. Perfect place to relax and good location to go sightseeing around the island. Josanne and Paul are sunny, generous people and keep their villa clean and cared for. The apartment is perfect for a couple and has all the comforts. The outside area has a swimmingpool and jacuzzi which are a pleasure after a day in the sun! The owners have very friendly cats and beautiful dogs which we would have loved to play with although they are guard dogs and are kept away from the guests as it should be and you wouldn't even know they are there unless you were interested.....
My son could not wait every morning to go and feed the fish and turtles. It was such fun for him!!
When we arrived it was a real pleasure to find a welcome basket with a lot of snacks, food and drink and it showed how warm and friendly the owners are.....They even offered a BBQ and how could we resist an evening by the pool with the good company of other guests surrounded by romantic lights and a lovely sea breeze!!!
Finally to be practical please note that the showers and the water preassure are perfectly functional because I am aware that it is not always the case in Malta.
I hope all this info is of use to anyone and if it is have a great holiday and enjoy your stay!!!!

A lovely holiday

We had a fantastic stay in this lovely, well equiped appartment. The gardens are beautiful and the setting is peaceful. The dogs and cats are friendly and the owners are charming. Recommended to anyone looking for a place to stay in Malta.

SUPER VACANCES A MALTE :)

Bonjour à tous,

Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances dans la propriété de Paul et Josanne, deux hôtes hors du commun.
Nous logions dans un petit appartement de couleur jaune (voir les photos) très agréable et très propre avec toutes les commodités (cuisine, salle de bain avec toilette et douche et quatre couchages). Il y était très pratique d'y faire la cuisine car celle ci est très bien équipée et qu'en plus un supermarché est tout près de la maison.
La propriété est légèrement isolée, parfaite pour le calme mais toutefois très pratique pour se rendre à la Valette, Sliema, St Julian et sur l'ensemble de l'ile rapidement. Une station de bus est en bas de la rue mais nous vous recommandons toutefois l'usage de la voiture.
Dans la belle propriété vous disposerez aussi d'une piscine, d'un jacuzzi, d'un salon de jardin très agréable et d'un barbecue...
De plus Paul et Josanne sont toujours près à vous donner les bons plans (restos, visites ou autre) mais sont aussi très discret.
Nous avons passé une semaine de vacances exceptionnelle :)
