Fabulous second visit

Review Submitted: June 13, 2011 Date of Stay: April 2011
I've been meaning to leave a review since we returned from our fabulous second visit in late April. We were incredibly lucky with the weather both this year and last year (early April) and spent all but one day on the beach. It's a lovely area from St Ives to Zennor and the delightful Portheras Cove a particular favourite. The Milking Parlour itself is a really lovely place to stay - comfortable, warm, excellent shower in the ensuite , a woodburner (lovely to light on those chilly evenings) and the kitchen diner has a nice view of the sea on its horizon. Although we didn't spend much time 'at home' due to the spectacular weather it was a joy to return to every evening. Thoroughly recommended and in my opinion very reasonably priced.

Great cottage

Review Submitted: July 26, 2010 Date of Stay: July 2010
Our family of 4 really enjoyed all the amenities of this well-appointed cottage. It is very well maintained and clean. The surrounding area is quiet and beautiful even during torrential downpours! We enjoyed going into St. Ives and Penzance. We would highly recommend this cottage. Our six day stay went too fast!

Wunderschöner Platz, nur gut

Review Submitted: August 18, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009

Comfortable stay

Review Submitted: September 9, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
A newly renovated barn, in a very quiet and impressive landscape. Very light and spacious and well equipped. We stayed for five days in early september, but due to bad weather and a lot of wind we did not have a chance to enjoy the two terraces.
The cottage actually turned out better than we expected, and was easy to find. St Ives is very close, as is Penzance. We made some great walks along the coast, and visited the nearby little church of Towednack.
There was some information in the cottage about nearby take-aways and restaurant, but with the excellent kitchen I preferred to cook myself. It took us some time to find a good deli or supermarket, but were happy to buy at a farm shop just a bit south with mostly regional products.
With the Studio we had two bathrooms - with a really great and powerful shower.
Perfectly recommandable for a quiet stay!

Didn't want to leave!!!!

Review Submitted: September 7, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
We stayed for a week in this beautiful cottage in August.
I really cant speak highly enough of the place. ~Every little detail has been thought about and the place is just so cosy. Location is great if you want to be near St Ives but away from it all. Its also ideal for visiting the other areas of cornwall too. Customer service was also spot on, the owners are just a phone call away. I would definately recommend this cottage and will without a doubt stay here again.
