The historic farmhouse, original stone outbuildings, surrounding 10 acre landscape and lochan now provide beautiful secluded self-catering holiday accommodation right in the heart of Scotland. Stirling castle, Falkirk wheel, Linlithgow palace, Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Trossachs all nearby. The farmhouse is crammed with period features- exposed stone walls, fireplaces, wooden beams, cornicing, original staircases etc. Accommodation: Main sitting room (wood burning stove/ patio doors to garden/ views of.lochan), Dining room- oak table/ chairs Separate large luxury dining kitchen- beautiful custom slate flooring and granite worktop Cosy second sitting room/play room/additional bedroom (double sofa bed), 1 bunk room, 2 double bedrooms, 1 triple bedroom. More Info: In the heart of Scotland, this rural retreat provides a perfect location for exploring central Scotland, the Trossachs and beyond. Windy-Yett Farm was a prestigious dairy farm between the 1600 and 1800s. Now the period farmhouse provides beautiful self-catering holiday accommodation. Windy-Yett is set in 9 acres of rolling fields with its own private lochan (small loch). Wild geese, herons, ducks, toads, badgers, deer, owls, and swallows all frequent Windy-Yett farm regularly. For outdoor fun, croquet, swing ball, and barbecue facilities are all available. The games barn also houses bar-football, table tennis and darts. Wireless broadband internet, wide screen television and x-box all provided for inside entertainment.

The surrounding area provides many opportunities for walking and cycling. Scenic forest, country, canal, river walks and cycle paths can all be found within a few miles, some starting at the local village.

We had a total of 8 people in our group. Four teens and grandparents.We loved the charm of the home and the surroundings. We thought that it was located perfectly to all of Scotland. We went on Day trips as far away as Loch Ness. We would definatly rent this home again because of location and charm. Ample rooms to find a quite spot, Loved the library loo, and enjoyed the horses on the property.
