In the commune of Chaspinhac, Département de La Haute Loire (43) Brestilhac is, a small, pristine, pictorial village consisting of 18 partly inhabited houses, located on a height of 900 m with unique view of Le Puy-en-Velay 7 km away and the volcano landscape of the Auvergne. The detached house made of granite was affectionately renovated 2 years ago and the barn with over 125 m² living space was developed to a 2 storey holiday house. In the front part of the house lives the young janitor couple. On the ground floor of the holiday house there is a spacious foyer, breakfast kitchen, storage room, bathroom and toilet. On the 1st floor: living room (with extendable sleeping couch, TV) and dining room, 2 rooms (1 French double bed, 2 single bed, 1 crib/infant bed), bathroom, toilet. Electric heating, fenced garden with terrace, car parking space, garden furniture and grill.

Like a hawk eyrie Brestilhac is embedded upon a granite hill, high above the beginnings of the Loire-Valley with unique view of Le-Puy-en-Velay in the heart of the Auvergne, Europe’s largest, extinct volcano scenery. Time seems to have paused here. In the renovated oven of the community the “Brestilhacois” bake their own bread. Once a week a salesman with the season’s local fruits arrives. It is only13 km by car to Le-Puy-en-Velay, the origin of the Road to Santiago. The Medieval town with its famous cathedral and the black Madonna will cause a spell on you. The surrounding towns invite you to a discovery of romantic architecture. French nativeness and a French “bourgeois” cuisine with everywhere known green AOC-lentils of the region welcome you here. Hike on the paths of the castles of the Auvergne, at the street Lafayette, at the Road to Santiago. Get lost in a unique landscape.

Einfach rundherum Klasse!

Alles war so, wie erhofft. Wer Ruhe sucht, wird dort Ruhe finden. Das Dorfgeschehen in diesem kleinen Weiler strahlt immer Freundlichkeit aus und wenn Brot gebacken wird (eimal pro Woche) kommt sogar etwas Bewegung ins Spiel. Zweimal am Tag laufen die Kühe durchs Dorf und der eine Hund ist freundlich, der andere aber nicht. Geht man zwischen den Nachbarhäusern durch, eröffnet sich der Blick ins Loiretal und auf Le Puy; Tags und nachts einfach herrlich. Was etwas fehlt in der Gegend sind Bademöglichkeiten. Es gibt ein paar wirklich tolle Stellen an der Loire und auch ein paar kleine Seen. Aber überall einen Stausee oder Freibad sucht man vergebens. Die umliegenden Sehenswürdigkeiten haben wir nur zum Teil gesehen, es war einfach zu heiß (Das Haus bleibt aber angenehm kühl!). Die Ausstattung ließ für uns keinen Wunsch offen. Wir (2 Erw, 2 Kinder (12 u.8)) haben uns dort absolut wohl gefühlt.

schöne Fe-Wohnung in ursprünglicher Umbegung

Lage erfordert Auto, Einkaufen ebenfalls, aber:
Komplett ausgestattete schöne Wohnung in kleinem ursprünglichen komplett restaurierten Weiler oberhalb von LePuy, auch oberhalb herbstlichen Bodennebels.
Kultur in LePuy, Wanderungen überall in der Umgebung.
Besonders geeignet für Freunde der Romanik und für Wanderer, Naturliebhaber, aber auch zum Relaxen,Lesen.
Buchund und Abwicklung ganz problemlos.
kleine Highlights: Alter Dorfbackofen gegenüber, war sogar einmal in Betrieb. Feuersalamander nachts auf Dorfstraße unterwegs.
Tags wie nachts ausgesprochen ruhig.
Weiler am Ende einer langen schmalen Landstraße (Sackgasse).
Im Ort davor kleines, bodenständiges, gutes Lokal am kleinen Dorfplatz mit winziger Mairie.
