This beautifully appointed and newly refurbished apartment on the 1st floor (with lift), was an old hotel which has been converted into apartments, located in a traffic free cul-de-sac over looking beautiful gardens. Superb original features include a balcony leading from the lounge via 2 sets of French windows; high ceilings give the flat a bright and airy feel. The open plan kitchen is fitted with oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a large kitchen island with ceramic hob for dining at, as well as the balcony dining table and chairs. Parquet flooring and detailed cornice work complete the look. The bedroom has French windows and there is large leather sofa bed in the lounge. There is a 42” plasma TV, DVD and hi-fi. This centrally located self-catering flat is 5 minutes walk from the main train station and the main shopping street Avenue Jean Medecin (where the new tram runs - cost 1.30 euros). Both the beach and old town are a 10-15 minute walk away.

The bars and restaurants are located within a 5 min walk on the traffic free Rue de France or 10 mins to the old town. Both areas have excellent bars and restaurants. Around the corner is the tree lined Boulevard Victor Hugo where the Holiday Inn & Malmison hotels are. The property is perfectly situated within a 5 minute walk to the main train station. This allows you to exploring the towns around Nice being Cannes, Antibes, Monaco, Menton, Beaulieu, Villefrance or the Friday market in Italy. The bus station is a 15 mins walk away and for 1.30 euros you can travel to Eze, Mont Born, Cap Ferrat, Grasse, Saint Paul or Eze. The promenade de anglas and beach are 15 mins walk away where you can sunbath or go swimming. There is a water park near Antibes and the port of Nice has scuba diving and sailing. You can also take a ferry to Corsica or charter a luxury yacht. If you would rather shop there is a shopping mall 5 mins away on Avenue Jean Medecin and all the designer shops you need.

Perfect location with atmosphere

This very clean apartment is lovely for 2 people on a long or short stay (ours was 3 weeks)-our French friends were impressed with it's authentic style. The apartment is perfectly situated for strolling access to great restaurants, museums, shopping, beach, and most sights. While car parking is not easy, it's certainly possible during October. It's a quiet neighborhood with good cafes and presse less than 1 block away, and the apartment owner, Gary, and local contact are most responsive (French-only TV stations created good French lessons) !

Clean and beautiful apartment

We travelled with our two small children and found the flat to be more than big enough for us all. It's moments from the station at Nice and about ten minutes down to the beach. The flat is stunning, with high ceilings and beautiful parquet floors. It's also modern, well-equipped, and spotlessly clean, with a great walk-in shower and a dishwasher.

There are lots of local shops and an excellent bakery close by, and two branches of Monoprix within an easy stroll, not to mention a modern shopping mall within a few minutes walk.

We found it very easy to nip over to Villefranche for the sandy, child-friendly beach there, although there was plenty to do in Nice itself. We managed to fit in the Matisse museum and several others, as well as enjoying the sunshine.

We all enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Fantastic apartment

Fantastic apartment. We had a great time last week staying at the apartment. Its full of character in an old traditional french building with high ceilings, window shutters etc. The apartment is fitted out to a high standard with excellent facilities. Only down side is you get a huge plasma TV to use but no sky tv or english channels.

The apartment is located 5 mins walk from the main train station and about 10 mins from the beach and main tourist area. Perfect location to be honest as its quiet.

We had a slight problem with the hot water during our visit but Gary the owner sorted within 30 mins of calling him. He was brilliant. Both the keys and the refunded deposit came back ASAP. Gary is very reliable and we will definately be staying again next year or the year after.

The apartment is definately suited to a couple of any age. the sofa does change into a bed but the apartment is really more suited to 2. The details they have provided are accurate. Dont be put off by the common landlord areas, these could do with updating but the flat itself is great and you'll have a huge shock when you open the door.

Book it you wont be disapointed.

Perfect Holiday perfect accommodation

My wife and I stayed at the apartment from Mon May 4th to Fri 8th. 2009. We found the apartment to be spotless, spacious and very cosy, it has a great kitchen, and we loved the very comfy bed, the large flat screen TV/stereo and the CD player, we also loved the large walk in shower, that was heaven. Everything was perfect.

Thank you Gary for being the perfect host, booking the apartment to be trouble free, and everything was as described.

The apartment is about 5 minutes walk from the station, and the main shopping street Avenue Jean Medecin, with 2 department stores, and a supermarket, is again approx 5 minutes away. The promenade Des Anglais (sea front) is approx 10 minutes walk away.

We loved Nice, but it was great to hop on the train and go to Monaco, Villefranche sur mer, Cannes, and Antibes, all well worth a visit.

At some time in the future we will return to Nice, and we would not hesitate in choosing this apartment again.

Again thank you for making this Holiday so perfect.

Immaculate apartment. Good location and very quiet at night.
Refurbished to a high standard with a fabulous bathroom and walk-in shower.
Convenient to Train station and tram to bus station therefore a good central location for exploring surrounding towns and villages..
Comfortable and to be recommended.
