Photos and Description of this Yarmouth holiday bungalow Redesigned 1931 bungalow with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, green heating system

Perched above the village in a secluded garden, with fields surrounding the house on 3 sides, ‘Eastern Lee’ offers peaceful country views. Originally built in 1931, now extended and refurbished to luxury standards. Using geothermal heating and environmentally friendly technology, it offers ‘green’ holidays in the peace of the West Wight Countryside. The front verandah has views over the village. The south facing back garden, with table and chairs, is peaceful and private, looking over fields, and has a barbecue for warm evenings. The spacious dining area seats up to 10 and links with a well equipped kitchen, through to a large sunny living room opening to the patio. Downstairs, there is a family bathroom and 2 bedrooms, one with 5ft bed and door to patio, the other with twin beds. Upstairs,with superb views to south and west, the master bedroom has a 6ft bed, freestanding bath with shower, and cloakroom. The twin room, with views to east has an en suite shower room. Yarmouth, a ferry port and yachting centre, is located on the western side of the Island at the mouth of the Yar estuary. The historic little town is guarded by Yarmouth Castle (English Heritage), built by Henry VIII in 1547 The harbour attracts international yachts and cruisers, and visitors who enjoy the lively range of shops, festivals and art exhibitions. The picturesque narrow streets and town square are lined by flower decked shops and pubs; restaurants range from Michelin star quality through family-friendly pubs to cafes with outside tables for celebrating fine weather late into the evening, many meals having an emphasis on local produce and freshly caught fish. Walks and rides start here, leading along the Yar estuary (excellent bird watching), to Downs, Tennyson Trail and beaches. Fishing, off road cycling and watersports may be arranged locally. Helpful Tourist Information base on the quay. Ferries (35 mins.) regularly from Lymington in the New Forest.

Rented this property for New year, looks even better in real life than the pictures. We had a group of ten people, and there was more than enough room to fit us all in. Jill and Steve, were brilliant- quick and efficent with all dealings and return of deposit. Will definetly be looking to rent this property again. It was an enjoyable stay and easy to access. Highly recommended!

A fabulous house for a weekend away, an ideal location to just get away from everything!

Communication with owners has been spot on, they quickly responded to my enquiries and emails.
