Stylish new air conditioned 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with shared pool and jacuzzi is ideal for the beach and golfing. Sleeps four comfortably and an additional cot or z-bed can be made available. The double master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi bath, while the second bedroom has two single beds with the use of a bathroom with shower. The kitchen is fully fitted to a very high standard. The lounge has ample seating with satellite TV, DVD and CD. The dining area has a table with seating for 6. The front patio / garden overlooking the pool is accessed from the lounge and double bedroom. The rear terrace has patio doors from the kitchen and twin bedroom. The pool is set in well maintained gardens and includes a heated jacuzzi pool. The beautiful blue flag beach is an easy 10 minute stroll away and has two restaurants. For golfers the Boavista course is only a few minutes drive with 4 other excellent course no more than 20 minutes away. Secure underground parking.

The front of this apartment faces south with a secure patio/garden area, at pool level. It is accessed directly from the lounge / double bedroom. There is a private gate leading on to the pool. This area also has patio table and chairs for eating al fresco. To the rear is a terrace, accessed from both the kitchen and twin bedroom. This area catches the early evening sun, and has patio table and chairs, for enjoying an evening drink. There are exceptional views to the hills north of Lagos.

The apartment is part of a recently completed deluxe complex of 17 apartments in the area of Porto de Mos. It is only a short stroll to the golden sands of the blue flag beach, with a choice of a couple of really good restaurant/bars. A few minutes in the car and your are in the centre of the picturesque and historical town of Lagos with its cobbled sidewalks and colourful market square, offering a variety of restaurants, bars, cafes, shopping and markets. The award winning Lagos Marina also boasts more beautiful sites, restaurants, bars and shops. For the children there are a variety of water and theme parks within a 30 minute drive. With great weather all year round the golf could not be better and there are 5 excellent courses in the area. Boavista being the closest only a five minutes drive away. A car is recommended to take full advantage of the area.

Very enjoyable stay in Villa Mar

We spent a week in Villa Mar during August 2008 and the apartment was fabulous. Enjoyed a lazy week by the apartment and pool. The apartment was beautifully furnished and very spacious, the description was very accurate. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise. There were two restaurants within walking distance, Antonio's was our favourite but we also drove into Lagos and lots of good places to eat. We would recommend visiting the Atlantic coast beaches which were amazing, huge waves and miles of sandy beaches.
Would recommend and would visit again.

Super. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder

Die Abwicklung der Buchung war von der ersten telefonischen Kontaktaufnahme bis hin zur Rücküberweisung der gestellten Kaution vorbildlich und sehr professionell.
Die in der Beschreibung gemachten Angaben sind vollkommen korrekt.
Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und sehr gepflegt. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll und zudem sehr praktisch.
Vor Ort gibt es eine Agentur, die bei Fragen hilft und die auch sehr gut erreichbar ist. Als wir ( zwei befreundete Ehepaare) am Flughafen in Faro gelandet sind, haben wir den Agenten in Lagos angerufen und über unsere Ankunft informiert. Nach ca. einstündiger Fahrt trafen wir in Porto de Mos ein, unser Ansprechpartner wartete schon an der Wohnung, um uns einzuweisen. Hier erwartete uns dann eine kleine, aber sehr liebevolle Überraschung: Der Kühlschrank war gefüllt mit Bier, Wein, Wasser, Säften, Milch, Wurst, Käse, Obst und Brot. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an total wohlgefühlt, und das ist auch die ganzen 14 Tage so geblieben.
Die Villa Mar muss man weiterempfehlen, und das haben wir in vielen Gesprächen mit Freunden und Bekannten auch schon getan.
Und wir vier werden auf jeden Fall wieder hierhin zurück kommen.
Und noch einen wichtigen Tipp:
Bitte unbedingt einen Mietwagenwagen buchen. das ist ein "MUSS"!
Die Region um Lagos bietet soviel. Das fängt an beim Ort Lagos selbst mit herrlicher Altstadt, Jachthafen, Fischereihafen und wunderschönen Stränden über eine herrliche Küste mit Sandstränden und Felsbuchten bis hin zu einem Hinterland mit Gemüse- und Obstanbau, Bergen und Stauseen und beschaulichen Orten. Einfach mal in den Reiseführer reinschauen.
Hier gibt es auch jede Menge Infos über landestypische Essen, z.B. gegrillte Sardinen in der Garage im Fischereihafen von Lagos für 8€ "all you can eat" oder scharfes Hähnchen "piripiri" in einer Kneipe an der Landstrasse nach Monchiqe.

Um es auf den Punkt zu bringen:

Urlaub wie im Paradies

Die Abwicklung war perfekt. Alle Fragen im Vorfeld wurden schnell und absolut zutreffend beantwortet. Die Übernahme der Unterkunft erfolgte reibungslos und pünktlich - alles war sauber und wie beschrieben. In diesem Appartement kann man einen erholsamen und entspannten Urlaub verbringen. Jeder in der Familie (Eltern Anfang 40 mit 5-jährigem Sohn) kam auf seine Kosten. Die Gartenanlage war sehr gepflegt. Die Umgebung ist ruhig. Die Bautätigkeiten stören nicht, da entsprechend weit weg. Den Strand Porto de Mos (mit 2 Lokalen) kann man in 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichen. Ein Auto ist zwingend erforderlich. Ansonsten ist im Apartment alles für einen tollen Urlaub vorhanden. Wir wollen auf alle Fälle (waren schon 9 x an der Algarve - davon 8 x in Lagos) wieder kommen - in dieses Apartment.
