This 85m2 chalet, Casa Muller, is within a 5 minute walk to the beach Praia da Adraga voted the most beautiful in Europe in 2003. It is set in a special location, in a protected natural park, facing south, away from neighbours, and with an open view of rolling hills. It has a private heated swimming pool. It is within a 10 minute walk to the picturesque village of Almocageme with various shops, open market and restaurants. The garden is well kept with flowers, grass, a barbecue and an eating area. Inside there is a living room with an opening sofa for two, 1 bedroom with a large double bed and baby bed, 1 bunk bed for 2 in a hallway and a fully equipped kitchen with table and chairs. It has central heating, satellite TV, bed linen, towels and 2 cots. There is parking for 2 cars inside the grounds shared with another house. Nearby is a 10km foot path that goes through the protected sea cliff natural .

Other nearby beaches are Praia Grande, 3km, a huge beach with many cafés and surfing schools, Praia das Maças, 5km, good for children and with many seafood restaurants and Guincho, 9km. Cabo da Roca, Europe´s most Western point is 8 km away. Azenhas do Mar, a village perched on a sea cliff is 6km away. Sintra with its many historical Unesco sights is 15km. Cascais with night-life is 15km. Lisbon centre and airport is 35km. Sintra´s sights are the National Palace, The Pena Palace, Monserrate Palace, Seteais Palace, the Moorish castle, quinta da Regaleira, Capuchos Convent, the old town and various botanical gardens.

Sintra sights and Cascais are less then 20 minutes by car. A taxi from the airport costs about €35. A CHARGE of €60 IS ASKED WHEN YOU LEAVE TO PAY FOR THE MAID. NO OTHER EXTRA CHARGE IS ASKED. The house has a dog house so your dog can sleep outside.

We had a wonderful time at Casa Muller. It was perfect for our 2 year old son. There were many small animals that are kept by the owners and wonderful gardens for him to explore. We were surprised that the owners lived in the main house on the property and were usually working in the gardens. This gave us more of the feeling of visiting people rather than having complete privacy. The owners were wonderful, generous and welcoming and we did have a great time with them. They tended to all of our needs. The location was everything we could have wanted. Unless you plan to hang out at the beach all day or hiking, you definitly need a car.
It should be noted that the kitchen does not have a oven, only a microwave and range.

Now back home we often remember the wonderful time we had in Portugal and Casa Muller. The ocean and the beautiful garden are in our minds everyday. We hope to spend our next holidays again in Casa Muller.
