This coast line has very mild summers and ideal summer and autumn temperatures, starting at Carcavelos and stretching all the way up to Guincho. There sandy beaches go on for miles and offer restaurants, bars and cafes which are ideal for families. There are also some great surf and kite spots along the coast, you can find a surf school on the beach at Carcavelos.

Sight Seeing

Lisbon offers a great opportunity for site seeing and shopping and the towns of Estoril, Sintra, Cascais all offer a varied selection of museums, craft fares, churches, palaces, beautiful gardens and forts and not forgetting the famous Estoril Casino.

Golf Information:

If you are interested in golf then there are some excellent facilities available in the area. they really are world class, Oitavos Golfe has been classed as one of the finest in Europe with its stunning views of the sea and the historical town of Sintra in the hills is a great site to get further details but the main courses are outlined below.. Estoril: With a panoramic view of the sea the two courses - one par 69 one par 34 were designed by Mckensie Ross. Estoril Sol: 9 hole course par 33 designed by John Harris and Ron Fream. Penha Longa: 18 hole, 72 par course was designed by Robert Trent Jones and also a nine whole course. This is reputed to be one of the most challenging courses in the area. Quinta de Beloura: 18 holes par 72 Quinta da Marinha: Designed by Robert Rent Jones 18 holes par 72.
