Ski: The Portes du Soleil ski area links the French resorts of Morzine, Lets Gets, Avoriaz and Chatel with the Swiss resorts of Morgin, and Champery. There are over 650kms of marked piste, 208 lifts and over 100 mountain restaurants catering for all levels of skier. In addition to the extensive skiing there are delightful; wooded trails and spectacular mountain views across to Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva. Boarders will enjoy the numerous snow parks, with jumps and pipes to really get the adrenalin pumping. Snow record – there has been a great deal of concern over global warming and the effect on snow fall. Portes du Soleil is one of the most northerly of all French ski areas and benefits from the Mont Blanc micro climate.. Avoriaz, with a top lift at 7,500ft, guarantees snow all season .
