The Costa de Almeria region:
The area has numerous towns and villages, still maintaining the Spanish culture and way of life.The villages still hold their markets within the streets as they have done for centuries. Mojacar Pueblo is an ancient Moorish village located on the top of the mountain looking out to sea with its narrow streets and stone washed houses. Mojacar Playa has both English and Spanish restaurants and beaches with sea front facilities that will suit all tastes. There are several commercial centres close by with shops and supermarkets for your holiday needs.
The Sierra Nevada Mountains offer excellent hiking in the summer and Skiing in the winter and are only 1 1/2 hours away.
The near by town of Vera still has an active Bull Ring.
The area offers everything for a relaxing holiday, sun, beaches, good food and wine.
All the attractions and places of interest including local towns and villages can now be reached using the New Improved Bus Route.
Golf:
There are 4 top class golf courses to suit all standards within 20 minutes drive from the apartment.
Dessert Springs is a unique course based on a top class course in Arizona. Many celebrities own property on this complex. Which as well as a Golf Course has Club house set by a stream with views across the mountains.
Valle de Este is set in hills and has a Hotel set within the grounds with fantastic views as well as a Spa offering beauty treatments.
Marina Golf in Mojacar is set next to the beach and has fantastic sea views.
Cortijo Grande is set more in land.
All of these offer both 18 and 9 hole courses.
Eating out and entertaining the Children:
Close to the complex and within easy walking distance, the Aquatic Splash Park offers you thrilling rides on the many Flumes, shoots and slides as well as 3 swimming pools to relax by. There is also horse riding, diving, and Go karting all to be found locally .
Mini Hollywood is a mock-up American Wild West Village set in the Tabernas Desert. This set was built for 'A fist full of Dollars' 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' to name but a few. It's a great day out for the whole family with entertainment including mock cowboy shoot outs, performing parrots and a zoo.
The many Beaches within minutes from the apartment offer long stretches of fine sand with plenty of Beach Bars to eat, drink and relax.
Eating out
There are large variety of bars and resturants to suit everyone and every occasion within the area, or if you prefer to self cater the nearest supermarket is only 5 mins away. Mojacar Playa which is only a short drive away offers a more lively range of bars and resturants.
