Comfortable, fully equipped end terrace modern house on attractive development with three double bedrooms and two bathrooms close to Red Cross supervised beach with disabled changing and toilet facilities (all July and August). Secure gated complex with ample parking space. Lock on own garden gate - beautiful pool immediately in front. Lifeguard in attendance summer months. Can sleep six adults plus travel cot. All linen, bedding and towels provided. Additional safety features: first aid kit and fire extinguisher. DVDs, games and books (English)for all ages. Kitchen/dining equipment for 10. Breakfast - garden terrace, barbecues - upper terrace. Utility area with washing machine. Plenty of lines for drying. Garden shed packed with sports and beach equipment. 5 minute drive to world famous Oliva Nova Golf course, numerous restaurants and leisure pursuits. Walk to supermarket, fabulous bakery, cafés, pharmacy, phone/internet at camp-site.

Notes: San Fernando is suitable for those wanting to see how Spanish families spend their holidays. The superb pool, supervised by a trained lifeguard during the summer, is open morning and evening with an afternoon siesta time. The Red Cross are equally vigilant patrolling the immaculate beach. Beach bars provide music, ice creams and drinks for all the family until late into the night. The Spanish/German bakery provides fresh bread, pastries and cakes daily and is the favourite breakfast spot for locals and campsite visitors. Take away or eat in pizzas and three course menu of the day meals are very popular with locals and visitors. The complex is lively during August and summer weekends, but very quiet for the rest of the year when the beach is deserted. It makes an ideal retreat for someone wanting to read, write, listen to the sound of the sea and watch the sun rise over the beach. Local shops and amenities, including the pharmacy, are open with limited hours all through the winter.

Fantastic apartment & surroundings!

Myself and freinds stayed at this lovely property for about 2 weeks, it was a great place and ideal for a couple or group. The location was good, a bit out of town which was nice. So close to the beach which was fantastic and a very nice beach it was. We found that we had heaps of sports equip at the house to take down to the beach and keep us busy. On the odd occasion that we werent at the beach, it was only a few steps out the door to swim in the beautiful huge pool. I would definietly recommend this to anyone that wants a nice relaxing holiday away form the city. Bruce and his wife are lovely and very approachable with any requests/suggestions. Thanks for a great holiday

Summer vacation Oliva

We were very well received by the owner of the summer
house.
Had even a welcome gift, wine, and the lack of consumer articles. We were very curious
on how the apartment was, but we were pleasantly surprised. It is located conveniently at the end of a series, with its own roof terrace and a breakfast terrace.

The second floor is like a separate apartment, with private bathroom. The area has a good beach with fine sand. The pool area is nice but the noise from the bathers can at times be disturbing. There are not many restaurants locally, but they were very cozy.




Overall, this is a place that I recommend.
With regards us from northern Norway.
Owner's Response: Our Norwegian visitors speak excellent English but some of the review is lost in translation. Provided for our visitors was a 'get you in pack' of various basic food and drink items including wine. I think that 'lack' should possibly read 'list'.

It is true that during the months of July and August the pool area is noisy. This is one reason why we describe our house as typically Spanish. Some visitors love the noise and activity and some, of course, are sensitive to this.

April and May; September and October are very peaceful times with few other visitors around. Temperatures are normally less extreme, the sea and pool are still warm enough for swimming and walking along the coast or inland in the mountains is not so exhausting.

It is also true that there are relatively few restaurants within walking distance. Some visitors, especially vegetarians, are mainly self catering and most visitors have rented cars and enjoy discovering other eating place in nearby Oliva or Denia a little further away.

Quiet and very Spanish

We enjoyed a very enjoyable stay in Oliva. The house is particularly convenient for golfers. The local course is beautifully kept and if you tee off around 1pm then it is 40 Euro. The course is flat so sutiable for less agile golfers. Our fathers played 3 times in one week and they are in their early 80's - no buggy required!
The complex was incredibly quiet and we had the swimming pool completely to ourselves. The pool was a good size and immaculatly kept. The 2 min walk to the beach was great and the beach is fabulous. The house has 100's of DVD's and books so you needn't take any out with you, there is also an abundance of 'beach stuff' so again no need to take any chairs, snorkels etc. Claire and Bruce looked after us extremely well and have a good local knowledge. The only draw back for us was that there are few restaurants within walking distance. Our stay was for 1 week at the end of May
