Playa de las Americas holiday apartment: ocean park -san eugenio

Stayed for 1 week in March 2009. Very well equiped kitchen and apartment in good condition overall. First self catering in Tenerife where kitchen appliances were getting close to those at home - helped offset fall in pound by cooking breakfast and lunch although cost of breakfast is good value in resort. Large terrace had 2 sun loungers and a decent table and 4 chairs. Good views out to sea and catches sun from lunchtime to end of day. Used it to chill out for much of holiday. Santa Maria apartments are reasonably close in front and at time of year we visited the sun set behindto them but would not later in year. Terrace has awning and caught a light breeze for most of time there. La Gomera visible on a decent day. Used washing machine a couple of times and allowed us to take less stuff and wash it. Beds a bit harder than back home but seems standard across there. The supermarket and bus stop is a good 5-10 minute walk at most (Supermercado) at San Eugenio centro. Got taxi there for 25 Euros but got the airport bus back for 2.25 Euros each. Overall was dearer than some apartments but facilities made it worthwhile and we were glad we picked this place. Sister lives out there and she was impressed as well. Further back from beach than some places but did not find that an issue as sunbathed on terrace.
