The Barn is an architect designed eco-renovation of a traditional 19th C Alpine farm. The soul and spaciousness of this incredible building has been carefully guarded during it's renovation. This is an exclusive and unique retreat It sleeps 12+ 2 children in 5 bedrooms, plus a large mezzanine. It has a spectacular 130m2 open plan living area with folding sliding glass doors that open onto a large balcony. There is a cosy Moroccan-style TV and music den and library. The master bedroom has access onto a balcony with exquisite views. The walk in shower is a topic for discussion. The flooring is FSC oak and slate. The furniture mixes antiques and 20thC designer classics. The old beams are exposed and offset against the white walls. All modern conveniences are at hand including wi-fi, satellite TV, a separate heated sports room, etc.. With its organic cotton sheets and Modal towels, you will feel at home in paradise!

Samoens is a hidden gem in one of the most beautiful valleys in the Alps. It has the benefit of being in a wide, open and sunny valley with views of Mont Blanc and beyond. The historic town has lakes, a botanic garden, cinema, theatre and a magnificent open air swimming pool. We are located just outside Samoens village and 5 mins drive from the Grand Massif ski lifts which link to Flaine. In winter, The Grand Massif gets as much snow as higher resorts and suits beginners to powder hounds. In spring, summer and autumn, the quality of the mountain biking, climbing and hiking is exceptional. This is an adventure paradise - for skiing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, swimming, climbing, biking, paragliding, rafting, horse-riding, or just walking. The children will love being in touch with nature! They can collect milk from the cows next door, visit Noisette the donkey, and fish in the stream!

  • In the View, the slate and pebble walk-in shower is perched above tree level facing the spectacular views. You will never have a more breathtaking shower! The slate surrounded bath is integrated into the room for a romantic evening. The spacious basin and w.c. are neatly tucked into the eaves behind a sealed wall. All the bathrooms are contemporary and understated using natural slate, Duravit and Hansgrohe fittings, suspended w.c.'s, shaver points, etc.. We provide luxary Modal towels, ecological soap and loo paper.

The Stables and Burrows are light and roomy and have plenty of exposed old wood beams. Shared Bathroom. The Single is down stairs and much smaller with its own little balcony. Showerroom adjacent. Shares with mezzanine. The Mezzanine is accessed via climbing holds and would suit agile adults or kids. It opens onto the library/ upper hall. All rooms are large enough for a cot or additional bed. Notes: The Barn is 5 minutes outside the village situated in a rustic hamlet. The Barn towers over the south facing valley. The 60m2 wood deck has an authentic wood fired hot tub and the garden disappears into endless fields. On the property their are fruit trees, an organic garden, a mill ruin, a mini Frisbee/football field and stream. In the warm season there is a kids paddling pool and water slide in the garden plus bikes and roller blades. In the winter there are toboggans and snow shoes.

Ski: La Source is a retreat in a ski paradise. Within one hours drive of Geneva airport, you can be skiing in the Grand Massif - a wonderful ski area with as much for the extreme powder seeker as the intermediate and beginner. The Grand Massif, in general, gets a lot of sun and as much snow as many of the highest Alpine resorts. La Source is 5 minutes from the Grand Massif and 25 minutes from the Portes du Soliel.
