Have you ever dreamt to spend your holidays in the Tuscan country-side in a romantic, cosy house on a river? Your dream has come true! Casa Carlotta is an old house, a mill, completely restored, preserving its original image with a warm and cosy atmosphere where the old and the new perfectly meet. It is the ideal place to spend both a relaxing and cultural holiday. Casa Carlotta is a two-storey house: on the ground floor there is a living-room with a fireplace, a dining room, a kitchen (equipped with all the modern comforts) a toilet and another smaller living-room, in addition to a terrace where it is possible to relax. There is also a garden equipped with tables, chairs and check-chairs where guests can have their meals or relax surrounded by the Tuscan countryside. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms with private bathroom and shower and a living-room/studio with a sofa-bed. Guests can enjoy a private terrace overlooking a river, a paradise for reading and relax.

The house is situated in an old, quiet village called Ponte agli Stolli, in the famous area of Chianti Classico (10 km from Greve), a strategic point to reach the most famous Tuscan cities such as Firenze, Siena and Arezzo. It is the ideal place to spend both a relaxing and cultural holiday. Encantadora, para pasar todo el día en ella

Somos 6 españoles y estuvimos en la casa del 9 al 12 de Agosto. Nuestra idea era conocer la zona del Chianti y a la vez estar cerca de Florencia. El trato de Carlotta y Lucca fue siempre muy agradable.
Y qué decir de la casa, muy bien decorada, con colecciones de lectura y música como para no aburrise, y sobre todo su ubicación, encima de una cascada de un riachuelo, pegado a una antigua calzada con un puente, hoy derruido, pero del que se intuyen los arcos estructurales desde la terraza más baja de la casa.
Quizá lo peor sea la gran cantidad de "bichos" que había en la casa como abrieras la ventana, pero supongo que será lo típico en una casa rodeada de vegetación y con agua cerca.
Ha sido una experiencia muy gratificante, y sin duda para repetir.

Charming and spacious accommodation in a wonderful and peaceful location in the Tuscan countryside. A friendly and informative welcome from Laura. The outside terrace overlooking the natural woodland with the sound of the river nearby was delightful and the garden table lovely for outdoor meals. Pretty villages nearby such as Greve and Castellina and Florence and Siena well worth spending time soaking up the atmosphere. We enjoyed a delicious rustic meal at the restaurant in Montefioralle which overlooks the valley.

A charming property

We stayed as 2 couples from Australia, all of us well over 70 years of age. The house more than lived up to its description and we were delighted with it. We did not expect to find the splendid collection of CDs-classical, operatic, modern. One needs to take care in exiting the drive. The owner's sister was most helpful in welcoming us and answering our few questions.The restaurant in Dimezzano, near Lucolena, about 7 km away, was excellent.

BEAUTIFUL CHIANTI HOUSE

A lovely, charming, comfortable and accomodating house. Stayed there 12 days with 3 friends and we loved the place. The village is beautiful and the people very welcoming and friendly. The house is roomy--the outside areas--the terrrace, the garden, the river platform are all so inviting. We were touring Tuscany--the only problem was we hated leaving the house and village and would hurry back. I recommend it without reservation. TB/NYC

Christmas-stay in Casa Carlotti

Going to the Chianti-region in wintertime is not very common, but we did. We’ve had a very nice week in Casa Carlotti. We were with 6 persons: 2 adults and 4 children aged 11 to 17 years.
The house is situated in a very quiet part of a small village. It is a very, very nice house, with nice furniture to make you feel at home. There was enough room for the six of us. We all felt very comfortable. Parking place nearby.
The location is perfect for visiting Florence, Sienna and the Chianti-region. In the village is a small grocery, with fresh (Tuscan) bread.
The owners were very helpful, they replied on all our questions by mail and, for instance, arranged a good restaurant for us at Christmas day.
