The property has been recently redecorated and it is very functional and tastefully furbished. The penthouse can accommodate up to 6 people and is made of one bedroom, one chill-out panoramic vera, one kitchen, one small lounge, one bathroom and one large terrace with a superb view. The property is well served with public transport and nearby amenities. The penthouse is located on the 5th floor (PLEASE NOTE LIFT UNAVAILABLE! but the stairs are not that bad at all) and this gives the property a unique view. It is a friendly family run business English is spoken fluently. Situated on the top floor of a stylish building, right in the heart of Monteverde (literally “Green mountain), this welcoming penthouse will immediately take you into the typical atmosphere of a beautiful and relaxing holiday. Ideally situated to discover the magic of Rome and its monuments, the apartment, which has just been redone by the owners, offers a refreshing and stunning panoramic view.

Monteverde is in the most green district of Rome and is only 20 minutes driving from Fiumicino Airport, 30 minutes from Ciampino Airport and only 9 minutes from St Peter's Church. Penthouse Monteverde is in a strategic position 1 km from Gianicolo. It’s very easy to go to the centre: Piazza Navona, Campo de Fiori, Colosseo, Largo Argentina, Piazza Venezia, Via del Corso. Two steps away from Trastevere (the historical ‘heart’ of the Eternal City) you will benefit excellent transport facilities to the city center. The number 8 tram takes you straight to Rome historical center within a few minutes. Local amenities are available within a walking distance, i.e. parks, restaurants, pizza places, street and the famous Porta Portese flee market (opened every Sunday) is also very close. In few minutes the tram N. 8, which runs 24h non-stop can take you in the most sought-after shopping district or to admire some of most spectacular monuments of ancient history.

  • Above prices for 1-2 persons. Please add 5 euro for each extra person per night and 1 euro for each extra child under 18.

    Cleaning: 25 euro irrespective of the length of the stay to be added to total price.

    You can check in at any time after 12.00. Check out strictly by 11 am. Upon your arrival we require the payment of the balance for the agreed stay in CASH and a deposit of euros 200 which will be returned upon your departure when the key is returned and a check is carried out on the property.

    Check-in Monday to Saturday from 12.00 a.m. to 08.00 p.m. is free of charge, except on Italian public holidays.

    What is not included:
    - additional 20 Euro for check-in from 08.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. Monday to Saturday;
    - additional 50 Euro for check-in from 10.00 p.m. to 01.30 a.m. Monday to Sunday;
    - additional 20 Euro for check-in on Sunday and on Italian public holidays till 10.00 p.m.;
  • Cancellation policy:

    The following penalties will be applied for cancellation or date changes:

    Up to 20 days before the scheduled arrival date 20% of the total amount for the stay.
    From 19 to 7 days before the scheduled arrival date 30% of the total amount for the stay.
    Less than 7 days before the scheduled arrival date 50% of the total amount for the stay.

    If you do not show up and do not inform me, then the whole amount of the booking will have to be paid.

    If the booking is cancelled by me, I will take care to inform you immediately of the fact and propose alternative accommodation for you of equal or higher level. Should you decide not to accept my proposal and where it is not
    possible for me to provide alternative accommodation to suit your requirements, you will be refunded of the entire advance payment.
  • 10% of rental fee as a deposit is due upon confirmation of your booking.
    The balance must be paid upon arrival. Please note that we DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARD ON PAYMENT JUST CASH.

Notes: The Apartment is in Monteverde, just off Trastevere in a historic, residential, green neighbourhood with families & children and parks. The neighborhood is quiet and safe with the convenience of being just steps off the main city attractions. Grocery, banks, restaurants, pharmacy, etc. are all available on the corner. Its a short walk to all major transportation and convenient to everything in Rome. TRANSPORTATION: Tram 8 and buses serve the neighborhood. The closest tram/bus stop, is a 2-minute walk from the Apartment. From there, it's about 8-10 minutes to Trastevere and 12-15 min. to Largo Argentina. Trastevere train station is only 5 minutes away by tram 8. Location also convenient to reach NUOVA FIERA DI ROMA by car or public transport. The neighborhood is residential, well serviced by the tram and is very close to a big market with the moderate prices you would expect to find outside the tourist center.

Excellent Apartment and LOcation

October 2009. We have just had a fantastic mid week break in Rome and the apartment was definitely one of the plus points. It has all the necessary facilities and is of very good quality and well presented. The apartment is in a very good location just outside of the city centre and has a variety of restaurants and shops available within the immediate vacinity.
It is close to the main transportation systems - trams, buses and trains that can take you to the centre within 15 mins. Our favourite area was without doubt Trastevere - after a walking yourself dizzy during the day in Rome you can freshen up at the apartment and then spend a few hours walking, shopping and dining in this beautiful area on the west bank of the Tiber.
We would highly recommend this apartment as the ideal place to stay if you are like us and do not like hotels but prefer to relax in your own space. Thanks Andrea we hope to come back to Rome some time and will definitely book your apartment again.

thank you for providing us such a nice stay in Rome, we enjoyed the time, our girls were really impressed of the city. And we really enjoyed the appartment, the nice private atmosphere, the views and also the well equipped kitchen - not like lots of other appartments where you dont even find a bit of salt...

I will happily recommend your place to my friends and I wish you good luck with the renting.

We had a very good time staying in Penthouse Monteverde. Rome city center can be reached easily with public transport, the area around is nice. We had a good welcome from the beginning of the reservation, thanks for the very detailed information about how to get there.
The appartment is nice to relax after a long sightseeing day, spacious enough for the 4 of us. The appartment and especially the kitchen are well equipped, so cooking is as much fun as at home.
We can really recommend this place and wish everybody such a good time like we had!

A wonderfull week in rome

The appartment is worth it's price. It is spacious, tidy and plesantly furnished. The nearby tram takes you in about 15 minutes into central rome. Mr. Vitale is a very firendly and helpful host. We already have a follow up vacation there in mind.

Great apartment - clean and with everything you need. Very comfy bed. Easy to reach the centre of Rome by tram. Takes about 20 mins. Andrea and his parents charming people. Hope to be back. Only reason for rating of 4 instead of 5 was that CD player was not working during our visit, but I'm sure that will be fixed soon!
