The apartment has a modern furnishing an is only a few steps away from the ancient Greek theatre and from the cable car which ferries tourists to and from the seaside resorts down along the coast (such as the famous Isola Bella). The apartment is in the centre of Taormina, but offers the tranquility and the views of a house at the sea. The apartment is located in a typical Italian 'palazzo', that has been subdivided in a couple of apartments. The apartment is on the 2nd floor (without elevator) and is divided in two levels. The first level consists of a bathroom, a modern kitchen with a dining table and seven chairs, a corner with a double sofa bed and a single sofa bed (both high quality), and windows with views on Taormina. The upper level consists of a bedroom with double sofa bed and an en-suite bathroom , and a small bedroom with a single sofa bed. From this level there is access to the terrace with a set of table and chairs and a view on the Ionian Sea and high palm trees.

Taormina is a a chic and picturesque town that is also renown as 'the pearl of the Mediterranean sea'. The apartment is located in a typical Italian 'palazzo', that has been subdivided in a couple of apartments. The elegant palazzo can be reached by walking towards the Greek theatre, turning left in a ascending side street (with about 20 steps). The houses’ location in the centre of Taormina makes it ideal for a stay at any time of the year. Taormina is blessed with sunshine all year round. Once Taormina was a climatic spa for winter holidays. Tourism during summer has developed only in the last decades.

Taormina: Taormina has been a very popular tourist destination since the 19th century. It has popular beaches on the Ionian sea, which is remarkably warm and has a high salt content. Beautifully restored mediaeval buildings, breathtaking views around every corner and a giddy network of winding streets strewn with shops, bars and restaurants make for a perfect holiday spot. Just south of Taormina is the Isola Bella, a nature reserve and a beautiful bay. Tours of the Capo Sant' Andrea grottos are also available. Taormina is built on an extremely hilly coast, and is approximately a forty-five minute drive away from Europe's largest active volcano, Mount Etna. Many manifestations and events are organized during the summer in Taormina. The exceptional frame for pop and classical concerts, opera and important performances is the Ancient Theatre. Taormina is served by its very own cable car which ferries tourists to and from the seaside resorts down along the coast.

Exploring mount Etna: Taormina is also an excellent base from which to explore Mount Etna and its surroundings. The villages of Etna, such as Piedimonte Etneo, Castiglione and Francavilla di Sicilia and Randazzo are famous for their ancient lava flows, the architecture of their seventeenth century churches, their delicious local produce and the hospitality of the villagers. Situated 700 metres above sea level, they are a favourite retreat of the city dwellers who, in summer are in search of cool, fresh air, while in winter are in search of snow for skiing. Few people are aware that Etna is a popular location for skiers in winter. On some glorious days in winter, it’s even possible to ski the frozen slopes in the morning enjoying a wonderful panoramic view of the Mediterranean, and then, the same afternoon, go and sunbathe on the beaches below!

Superb location which could not have been better, 3 minutes from main street and 5 minutes from cable car.
Immaculately clean.
Well laid out and stock more than sufficiently with hairdryer, iron, coffee maker, washing machine etc.
Apartment is located in a quiet area of Taormina, i.e. not distraction from passing traffic or people.
I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone.
Wonder around the narrow streets in the evening, you are guaranteed to find a nicer resturant every evening. Check out Deja Vu bar (in piazza paladini) and Morgana bar's, or site on the patio of the apartment you may be treated to fire-works display over the harbour.
Great place. Go for if, it is fabulous.
