Photos and Description of this Santa Venerina holiday house Wonderful pool and beautifully garden with high palm trees and lawns

This house is situated between Catania and Taormina and between Mount Etna and the sea. The garden has been transformed in a real paradise with high palm trees, perfect lawns and a orchard with all kind of fruit trees. The window of the living room offers a spectacular view of Mount Etna. The wonderful pool is open all year round. The owner of the property and his family live on the same land, but their property is a bit separated by a row of thick palm trees and some bushes. They don't use the pool when there are guests. The property consists of a living room with an open kitchen, a bathroom, two double rooms and a single room. The living area leads out onto the sunshade terrace that is equipped with table, chairs and a barbeque. The swimming pool is situated just next to the terrace and is equipped with high quality deckchairs.

Santa Venerina is an excellent base from which to explore eastern Sicily. The village lies halfway between Catania and Taormina and just 15 kilometres from Acireale (a pretty little city, built on a plateau of lava, that is known for its Baroque churches). Gardini Naxos, a seaside resort with a sandy beaches, is just 25 km from Santa Venerina (15 minutes with the highway). Next to Giardini Naxos we find Taormina 'the pearl of the Mediterranean' and the most exclusive seaside resort in Sicily. Its ancient Greek theatre is world famous for its extraordinary panoramic views. Pozzillo, Santa Maria la Scala are Aci Trezza are pleasant seaside villages near Santa Venerina. The nearest can be found in Praiola (7 km), a wild pebbled beach next to an impressive cliff..

Mount Etna and its surroundings: Santa Venerina is also an excellent base from which to explore Mount Etna and its surroundings. The villages of Etna, such as Trecastagni, Zafferana Etnea, Milo, Castiglione della Sicilia and Randazzo, are famous for their ancient lava flows, the architecture of their seventeenth century churches, their delicious local produce and the hospitality of the villagers. Situated about 600 metres above sea level, they are a favourite retreat of the city dwellers who, in summer are in search of cool, fresh air, while in winter are in search of snow for skiing. Few people are aware that Etna is a popular location for skiers in winter. On some glorious days in winter, it’s even possible to ski the frozen slopes in the morning enjoying a wonderful panoramic view of the Mediterranean, and then, the same afternoon, go and sunbathe on the beaches below!

Um Gästen bei der Ankunft Überraschungen zu ersparen, hier Ergänzungen der Angaben des Vermieters:
1. In drei Metern Entfernung vom Haus befindet sich die Straße mit einem intensiven Verkehr, auch von Lkw.
2. In zehn Metern Entfernung vom Haus wohnt auf dem Nachbargrundstück ein Hund im Freien, der Tag und Nacht bellt.
