Photos and Description of this Acireale holiday farmhouse Perfect for joined families or a group of friends.

A recently renovated farm with pool in a stunning and perfectly peaceful setting between the sea and Mount Etna, close to Acireale (3 km). The private pool (size 10 x 5 m., deep 160 cm) is in use all year round. The house is located on the highest part of the estate, overlooking an infinite number of lemon trees, Mount Etna and the coast as far as Taormina (35 km). The garden is beautifully tended, with palm trees and Mediterranean flowers. The house consists of 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a small lounge with sofa bed and a kitchen with dining table. The rooms are all on the ground floor. There are three units with own entrance. The units and the kitchen are not connected from the inside. Unit 1 has a terrace with sea view, a double room, a twin room and a bathroom. Unit 2 consists of 2 double rooms, a single bed and two bathrooms. Unit 3 is a spacious double room with bathroom. The kitchen opens onto a covered terrace, perfect for al fresco dining. All rooms have air-conditioning.

Situated near the town of Acireale on the east coast of Sicily, Casale Acqua e Fuoco is a good base from which to visit Taormina, Catania, Mount Etna and the various fascinating villages on its flanks called 'paesi Etnei'. The property is situated 3 km from Acireale, famous for its baroque churches. The picturesque fisherman's villages Santa Maria La Scala and Aci Trezza (5 km) both have pebbled beaches and a small port with vividly painted boats and good restaurants. In summer the villages become a seaside destination for the islanders who enjoy diving off the wooden platforms into the cool Mediterranean waters. The house is located on the highest part of the estate, overlooking an infinite number of lemon trees, huge Mount Etna and the coast as far as Taormina (35 km).

Exploring eastern Sicily: The accommodation is an excellent base from which to explore eastern Sicily. It is just three kilometres from Acireale (a pretty little city, built on a plateau of lava, that is known for its Baroque churches). Gardini Naxos, a seaside resort with beautiful sandy beaches distances 32 km. And a bit further we find Taormina ‘the pearl of the Mediterranean’ and the most exclusive seaside resort in Sicily. Its ancient Greek theatre is world famous for its extraordinary panoramic views. Santa Maria la Scala and Santa Tecla are pleasant seaside villages near the accommodation. In the village Santa Tecla, four kilometres away, is the renown fish restaurant “Da Lorenzo”. Both townshave pebbled beaches and a small port with vividly painted boats. In summer the villages become a seaside destination for the islanders who enjoy diving off the wooden platforms into the cool Mediterranean waters.

Exploring the volcano Etna: Several of the traditional lava-stone villages on the flanks of Etna are well worth a visit. Many guests at Casale Acqua e Fuoco, however, will be well content to relax in the stunning surroundings of the house, the garden and the pool. The villages of Etna, such as Trecastagni, Zafferana Etnea e Randazzo, are famous for their ancient lava flows, the architecture of their seventeenth century churches, their delicious local produce and the hospitality of the villagers. Situated 600 metres above sea level, they are a favourite retreat of the city dwellers who, in summer are in search of cool, fresh air, while in winter are in search of snow for skiing. Few people are aware that Etna is a popular location for skiers in winter. On some glorious days in winter, it’s even possible to ski the frozen slopes in the morning enjoying a wonderful panoramic view of the Mediterranean, and then, the same afternoon, go and sunbathe on the beaches below.

tiziana e carlo sono stati gentilissimi e calorosi. quando siamo arrivati c'era il vino in frigo, la frutta fresca e qualche cose da mangiare (pasta, caffé, biscotti...). la casa e spettacolare e fidelissima alla descrizione e alle foto su internet.e ideale per coppie o famiglie che vogliono partire insieme perche ogni camera e independente da l'altra con il suo bagno e la sua chiave per uccire direttamente nel giardino.
era la prima volta che partivamo in vacanze affittando una casa e siamo (tutti 9) rimasti incantati.

Penso di portarvi presto altri amici e familiari.
