Cascais is one of Portugal’s most desirable areas with a complete range of activities for every member of the family and most of them within easy walking distance: The ocean is 200 meters away, golf courses, tennis clubs, bike paths (bikes are free), fishing and sailing boats to rent, great beaches, surfing, rollerblading, and horses. Public transportation is close by, frequent, safe, and inexpensive.Rent a car, if need be, right in town. For sightseeing; beautiful castles, palaces, churches, ancient walled cities, and museums, Europe’s largest casino, the oceanarium, a great zoo, and the shrine of Fatima. Prices here are lower than most places

This apartment is located in one of the most exclusive of Cascais' closed condominiums. The property has lovely gardens, a beautiful pool available only to residents and guests, and everything Cascais has to offer is available within easy walking distance. Take the train to Lisbon (it's fast and cheap) and enjoy that marvelous city. There are several spectacular beaches close at hand. The ancient town of Sintra with its castles, mansions, museums,and palaces is only 30 minutes away.

Fantastic apartment the photos do not do it justice.
The location is excellent only 10-15 mins walk from everything and far enough away to be in a really quite location to relax. Highly recommend and will be booking again next year!

My family loved the apartment. It was beautiful, comfortable, and very kid friendly. Maria, the owner was very helpful, friendly and accessible. The property itself was peaceful and pretty with a large,modern pool . Location was key. Walking distance from parks, beach, supermarket etc. We had a great stay and would highly recommend the property.

Great Location for a Relaxing Holiday

We are a family of 4 (2 teenage children) and have just spent a week (July 2009) at this lovely property in Cascais. The photos on the site give a good idea of the property, but it is really even better than it looks, more of a condominium. It is really very spacious, with a private 'front door' entrance, large lounge/dining area, 2 spacious bedrooms, 2 full-size bathrooms, large very well-equiped kitchen (Miele appliances), large, private sunny terrace with garden furniture, optional awning for shade & BBQ. Parking at property - within gated grounds It was good to have use of the swimming pool which was never too busy. Cascais is a really nice seaside town, the property is in a very quiet residential area, but still within 10 minutes walking distance from the centre (shopping centre, cinema, cafes/restaurants), beach and only 30 mins drive from Lisbon airport (worth taking your sat-nav, as we were glad we did, although well sign-posted to Cascais and back to airport). There are 2 supermarkets within a few minutes drive - Lidl, very easy to get to and inexpensive, and Jumbo - centre of town, one way system in centre, so not so accessible when driving and more expensive. Nearby - Sintra, Palacio de Pena, Cabo da Roca and Palacio de Queluz all worth visiting. Maria, with whom I arranged booking was very helpful and on hand, (lives in same complex) if any queries.

What a great holiday!

We've just returned from a fantastic week at Maria's apartment.

The description is more than accurate, and we agree with the previous review in that the photos don't do it justice. The apartment is very spacious inside and out – the balcony had two tables with still plenty of room. The apartment has everything you need, specifically in terms of the kitchen if you do plan to cook rather than eat out all of the time.

Great location, Cascais is a great place to stay.

We will definitely be recommending this apartment to friends and plan to return this year.

Finally, Maria (the owner) is also fantastic. We arrived to a few welcome goodies along with a number of maps and recommendations. Maria really looked after us and was on call when we needed her for advice on the apartment and area. Thank you Maria!
