Wonderful house in Tarn

garden45 London
Review Submitted: August 31, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
There were 9 of us staying in the house. 4 adults and 5 children aged between 9 and 14. The accomodation worked out perfectly, the only issue was that there was only 1 loo upstairs, which caused minor problems - but really Im just being pickie. The outside space was fab, a great pool and patio area, a quiet road , but only 7 mins to town ( not much of a town - village infact). A good friendly bar /cafe, and a posh restaurant - very good food, but a bit tricky for the younger kids - although the chef ( from the Lake district !) was very accomodating.
There was no A/C but fans in all bedrooms which we needed at night - vvv hot and the beds a trifle small (doubles).
We visited Cordes du Ciel which was lovely - go early evening. And Lisle sur Tarn was a lovely village about 10 mins away. For anyone interested in gardens, there is a beautiful landscaped gardens, about 2 mins by car from the house. - 6 euros to get in and well worth it - English planting - very interesting.
Altogether a great stay, highly recommended.

Two weeks in Paradise

Review Submitted: July 2, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
Having just returned from the villa, I cannot recommend it too highly. The house is clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly want or need - a real home from home. The view is spectacular and the pool very clean and welcoming. The whole area is very peaceful and quiet. The nearby village of Girossens is but a stroll away with a good bakers, restaurant and bar which also serves food. Toulouse, Albi, Castres and Cordes are also worth a visit. The best supermarket was at St Sulpice where there are also some excellent restaurants. Sue and Joe were a pleasure to deal with and we thank them for a very enjoyable holiday.

Lovely French ambience

Review Submitted: December 21, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
This is an interesting and scenic area of France to visit. There is so much to see and do but at the end of your explorations and activities you are really happy to return to this relaxing, quiet and peaceful home. You can sit on the loggia terrace with glorious views across to the mountains, go down by the pool and swim in the clear blue water, or relax in the house with every convenience and a very french feel to it. We are fortunate to have been twice and we love to wander down in to the village and visit the Pottery Museum - Giroussens holds a Pottery Festival in April - or take in the glorious views from the parapet across the river, there are lovely walks all round.
Another favourite visit is to the next village where there is a wonderful restaurant. We dined there in the moonlight under a chestnut tree and need I say it - the food was delicious! But there are lots of good places to eat nearby if you are not tempted to just barbeque on the terrace and enjoy!! Here's to our third visit..!

My short break

salop shropshire
Review Submitted: November 22, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
Having stayed at the villa for 5 days with a friend, I would highly recommend it for its cleanliness and facilities. The views form the terrace are stunning and it is easy to lose a whole morning or afternoon just gazing out towards the mountains.
The pool is lovely, again with beautiful views beyond.
There is plenty of parking at the property, and it has the added attraction of being on the outskirts of the village but within walking distance of a restaurant, bakers and a bar.
There was plenty to do and see around the area with a couple of very pretty towns within easy driving distance for supermarket shopping and sight seeing. There appears to be a good rail link into Toulouse from a local town. Infact, there is so much to do that I have booked to return with my family next summer for 2 weeks.
