The villa is set in its own grounds (approximately 600m2) on a small, quiet development. It is situated on a corner plot, which means it has views of fields on two sides The property is very private (unlike on many larger developments where you are overlooked by several properties). It is very secure, having lockable outer gate as well as the standard Spanish style window grilles and shutters, which helps to keep the property cool in summer. The pool is a good size 10 x 5 metres to a depth of approximately 6 foot. It also has an additional 2 x 2 metre children's pool attached. Outside there is a large dining table, with 6 chairs and parasol, for eating outside. There is also a barbecue, six sun loungers, a wonderfully comfortable large hammock. There is also a covered sun terrace with comfy conservatory furniture which is great for getting out of the sun in the daytime, or relaxing with a drink to watch the sun set in the evening

Location: Balsicas in Spain

Nearest Airport: Murcia at 14 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 14.0 Kilometres
Car: necessary
The villa is situated at Valle del Sol, which is a 15 minute drive to the excellent beaches along the beautiful Mar Menor as well as the unspoilt Calblanque natural park, which is great for snorkelling (It is also one of the few places in Spain where you can have a beach to yourself). The Mar Menor is the largest salt water lagoon in Europe and its shallow slopes are ideal for children (as well as its sheltered location making the water temperature a few degrees warmer!) There are a number of theme parks and water parks nearby as well as Go Kart tracks. For serious shoppers there are 2 large malls nearby as well as the historical Cities of Murcia and Cartegena (which has a magnificent Roman amphitheatre) The area is still very Spanish and has not been spoilt by the commercialism of mass tourism but still has a wealth of exceptionally good restaurants nearby. The area is also blessed with a large number of first class golf courses, the most famous of which is at La Manga.

Further details for this holiday villa rental in Balsicas, Spain

Nightlife: The area is geared up for families, so if you are looking for lots of bars and clubs then this is definitely NOT the place for you. There is a small bar / restaurant within a few hundred yards of the villa, but there is not a local night-life. The villa is more set up for a nice , quiet, peaceful time spent relaxing in private grounds, enjoying the cheap, good quality food and drink. The lovely resorts along the coast do have some excellent restaurants, which make dining out a real pleasure, but there are no nightclubs to speak of A car is essential to enjoy the area

Airports: There are 2 major airports that serve the area. The nearest is at San Javier (called Murcia airport) which is just 15 minutes away (no aircraft fly near the villa) and is ideal for its proximity and because it is small there are no hold ups whatsoever The other is at Alicante which is much larger and is 1 hour away Both airports are served by the many low cost airlines

Driving: A car is essential but don't be put off by driving here. The rules are very simple and the road system is excellent. The very low amount of traffic in the area is reminiscent of the UK some 40 years ago and driving here is a pleasure ( I can't remember seeing one speed camera in all the time I have been here !) There are no toll roads in the region of Murcia either

what a lovely relaxing holiday ! The villa is Spacious, comfortable, well equiped and well situated. We ate in most nights, cooking either on the BBQ or in the modern well equiped kitchen. We (six of us) stocked up on food and drink at the local supermarkets and ate well and cheaply for the week.
A nice comfortable relaxing holiday, the villa is in a quiet and private spot and has a generous amount of home comforts. The pool and surrounding garden provide a wonderful opportunity to completely chill out in peace and quiet. The beaches in this area are some of the best and safest in Spain and are within easy reach by car. Highly recommended, for a nice quiet holiday in the lovely spanish sunshine.

Just wanted to say thanks for 2 fantastic weeks in your villa.
I would recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing away from it all break.
The villa was beautiful and well furnished throughout, with everything that we needed. The pool is great with plenty of space and it is very private unlike a lot of larger developments, like Polaris world, which we found very open.
My only negative comment would be that it isnt for anyone who wants clubs and bars and entertainment and that you need a car. Having said that, driving was a pleasure over there.
We will be back next year

fantastic villa,but a car is essential as it is situated 20 minutes drive from the nearest beach/town.super pool and ammenities,and would definately recommend it if you want a very quiet holiday away from the usual tacky tourist haunts.good access to the wonderfull Mar Menor region.I will book again for next year.
