Lacassagnie is situated between Saillac and St Projet, on the border of the Lot and Tarn et Garonne Departments and within 10kms of the Aveyron. It is within 12kms of Caylus, Limogne en Quercy, Parisot, and Varaire. Musts to visit are St Antonin Noble Val, Najac, St Cirq Lapopie,Cordes, Albi, and the Departmental Capitals, Cahors, Montauban and Rodez. The beautiful city of Toulouse and Capital of The Midi Pyrenees region in SW France is less than an hour and a half away. Superb wine regions including Gaillac and Cahors are well worth visiting as are the caves at Pech Merle and Foissac, Bastide villages,and on the St Jacques de Compostella pilgrims route, the impressive churches at Conques and Moissac. There is so much to do and see, you will be spoilt for choice, from canoeing to tennis and horse riding, to the area's artistic influences, including galleries, chateaux, abbeys and many modern art exhibitions. Gastronomically, dine in simple Ferme Auberges, or in starred Restaurants.

On clear nights the stars are magical.Choose to dine at the front overlooking the valley, on the terrace, or by the pool. Enhanced on warm nights by underwater lighting. For swimmers there are no obstructions to completing the 6 lengths to cover 100 metres. The Roman steps are at the side for easy access and relaxation. High quality sunbeds, parasols, tables and chairs provide an elegant accompaniment to the poolside and terrace areas and enhance the pleasure of outdoor living.

Garden and Pool Maintenance: The owners live in the adjoining restored Barn and maintain the Gardens and Pool at a pre-arranged time each morning but respect their clients privacy.The Pool is solely for the use of clients, totally private and is not overlooked.Because of the nature of the Property, it's amenities and the area, the owners prepare the property with adults in mind. The romantic and peaceful setting provides a relaxing escape from the frantic pace of everyday life.

SUMMER AT LACASSAGNIE

We spent two weeks at Laccasagnie this July and couldn't have found a more idyllic place to spend one's holiday. We have rented houses in Spain; England, Italy, Austria and France and for us this has been one of the nicest.
It's a beautiful old farm restored to very high standard with all the modern comforts one could need. One of its highlights is the heated pool surrounded by fields.
I'ts also so peaceful that one just manages to relax and forget all the problems of the every day life.
The owner's Joy and John make you feel extremely welcome and are very helpul with anything you might need
There are lots of lovely places to visit and in short distance from Lacassigne, and also beautiful drives in any direction. You really get the feel of the rural France.
We do hope to go back in the near future.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

A Holiday in Heaven

In Jul/Aug 2009 we spent 18 days in the blissful peace & privacy of Lacassagnie.
The owners have restored the large & charming stone house, providing every comfort & convenience imagineable. Everything is top quality, tasteful & immaculate - enormous cotton-clad beds, en suites, modern appliances in a splendid country kitchen, sofas & lounges, cool tiled floors, double glazing.
In the midsummer heat the house remained cool & there was chilled water & ice from the 2 door fridge. And outside, the magnificent pool overlooking hayfields & hedgerows & surrounded by lavender beds, gardens, lawn & stone terraces with sunlounges, dining setting & umbrellas.
Our hosts were perfect - kind, helpful & welcoming, never ever intrusive but there when we needed them (eg. local bank & bakery opening hours!). We felt pampered & spoiled, & couldn't imagine a more heavenly holiday.
