The house has been renovated to a high standard without loosing any of its original character and carefully and charmingly decorated and comfortably furnished to give a Moorish atmosphere.The owners have left a choice of books ,discs and videos to cover all tastes.The kitchen has everything to prepare a snack to a an intimate dinner,the BBQ is particularly useful to grill the locally caught fresh fish bought at the municipal market along with the locally grown fresh produce,there are local shops and supermarkets to provide the the rest of ones needs
The house is situated in a commanding position giving spectacular views over the cape, surrounding countryside and Vejer itself which is delightful to explore at any time of the day but particularly in the evening.One restaurant we particularly enjoyed and would not hesitate to recommend was the Califa.
Cadiz and the beaches can be visited by public transport but a car is adviseable for further off the beaten track destinations,Ronda,the other White hill top villages, Gibraltar and a trip to Morroco from Tarifa even.The area has a wide variety of bird life including lesser kestrels(one of which was nesting in the adjacent house in May)and for any body interested in naval history it breathes this from the 16th century onwards culminating in the Battle of Cape Trafalgar.
We are a 55 year old Portugues(F) and 66 year old British(M) couple living in Portugal and would recommend this ´home`101%
