Three bedroomed self-catering apartment ideal for summer and winter holidays. Close to beach, shops, restaurants and within the historic old town of Salobrena. One of the few apartments in Salobrena old town with exclusive use of a private pool in summer. Wonderful views of the beach and sea. The apartment nestles in the old white walled town below the Moorish castle. A truly Spanish feel and flavour. Marvellous cafes, restaurants and bars serving local food and wines. Ideally placed for sight-seeing, walking and water sports activities. Short drive from Granada and the magnificent Alhambra Palace. In winter, skiing and snowboarding are available in the nearby Sierra Nevada mountains just over an hours drive away. The sub-tropical micro-climate provides the warmest and sunniest winters in mainland Europe and consistent comfortable summer temperatures.

Situated in the old town of Salobrena where the white walled houses tumble down from the old Moorish Castle and church. Close to the beach with its promenade and seafood restaurants. The nearby Alpajurra national park provides walks and trails from the mountain villages. Lanjaron a spa town is also nearby for those seeking a relaxing dip in the local refreshing waters. Salobrena has a weekly street market, good supermarkets and traditional local shops. The summer season is alive with flamenco and fiesta down at the beach. Nearby Almunecar has a waterpark for all ages and bars and clubs for those seeking a more hectic nightlife! Granada and the Alhambra Palace are a must see only 40 minutes drive away. Nearby Motril has an excellent golf course with its own top quality restaurant. The Sierra Nevada ski resort is just over an hour away providing excellent facilities for both skiing and snowboarding. Salobrena is an ideal centre for touring Andalucia with its Moorish roots.

  • Renters will be met on arrival and shown to the apartment which will have been cleaned and provided with fresh towels and bed linen. The fee for this service is 90 Euros which is payable locally when collecting the keys.
    In addition to the weekly rate a security deposit of £100 is required, paid prior to the rental, this covers the pool key and any breakages. The deposit will be refunded one week after the conclusion of the let provided the pool key has been returned and all is in order.

Property information: The property is situated in a pedestrianised street which means there is no noise from passing traffic and it is safe for children. You can park in the street above the apartment and walk down steps or park below and walk up. The apartment is situated on the first floor in a three storey block. Although the pool is a community pool it is only available for use by those who have paid for a key and there are only 12 of us who have done that. This means it is never crowded and quite exclusive. The pool has a garden terrace with tables, chairs and parasols.

I spent a wonderful holiday with my girlfriend at this lovely, comfortable apartment. There was plenty of space for the two of us, and could easily sleep four or more, although there is only one bathroom so be careful if someone in your party takes ages to get ready! The private balcony is excellent too – we were spoilt to three live performances at the amphitheatre which you can see perfectly from the rocking chair on the balcony.

The apartment is very well located being about 10 mins slow walk away from a beautiful beach. The water is clear and the sand is darker than postcard golden but there are plenty of sun-loungers to hire at a reasonable price. There are few other English tourists which means you are saved the stereotypical Benidorm style shouts one sometimes hears when sunbathing!

We were also able to use the shared pool which provided a lovely place to relax in peace a quiet. There are no beds or chairs around the pool but we spent most of the time either swimming or lying on the amusing Pirate style lilo kept in the apartment.

The road to the beach and along the seafront is covered by restaurants selling a range of local cuisine and drinks. We enjoyed sitting outside, cooling down in the evening. The menus are available in Spanish and English which makes ordering easy.

There are plenty of brochures and leaflets in the apartment which give suggestions on where to go. We visited Alhambra and Grenada (about an hours drive away) which were lovely.

Overall, this apartment is great value and I will be recommending it to my friends for future holidays.

i stayed in the apartment, with my three teenage sons for three weeks, high season. The apartment was spacious and cool with everything we needed.
The views were spectacular as was the wonderful cool sea breeze, (unbearable heat in the town a pleasure to sit on the beach or our terrace).
The pool was a delight, we were often the only family using it.
We were able to watch a performance in the ampitheatre from the comfort of our own terrace, a real bonus.
Although there were a lot of steep steps, they kept us fit and i lost weight !
The welcome bottle of wine was appreciated but in the heat of July a large bottle of water would have been more use.
The shops were a short walk and a point worth remembering most deliver if necessary.
Remember if you want an evening meal out many kitchens dont open till 9pm.
All in all a great, relaxing holiday and a real taste of Spain.

Nice Flat, Nice Town

We stayed here with my parents for a week and we found it more than spacious enough for us. The lounge/dining area is very large and comfortable and there are some nice views of the sea from the windows. It is nearby the town shops and only a few minutes walk from the beach, We also walked up to the castle from the back of the complex. There is a pool that we did not use but looked nice. There is satellite TV with British TV if you fancy sitting in.

We used the kitchen and, although not as modern as we are used to in the uk, it had everything we needed to cook ourselves some meals and keep the price of our holiday down. The fridge looked brand new and everything was clean. The supermarkets are close by so it would be very good all round for self catering.

The bedrooms were nice but the 2nd double bedroom is rather minimal. We found this fine as we could relax and read in the lounge area. The master bedroom has a nice modern feel. There is also a "kids room" with bunk beds and books in english and spansih which was a nice touch.

Also a washing machine and there is always enough breeze on the balcony to dry the laundry with the supplied racks, pegs etc.

I didn't know anything about the town before my visit. It's a nice town by itself but if you need more excitement there are lots of towns nearby such as Grenada and Malaga as well as the mountains and the coast. One of the nicest holidays I've had in a long time and I would stay in this apartment again. A+
