This apartment is on two levels, the second and third floor, in a historic building situated in the centre of a medieval town. Recently restored, the colours and furnishings of this home are very attractive. What a delight for guests when they see the rooftop terrace with its view over the tiled roofs out to the Valdera valley. Each floor has its own living/dining room with fireplace, a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. This makes it possible to make use of the apartment in various ways. There is a sofa-bed in the living-room on the second floor and another on the mezzanine of the upstairs living-room which opens onto the terrace. Downstairs there is a small balcony off the kitchen. Both kitchens have a washing machine and a dishwasher, and downstairs the cook top is combined gas and electric. The upstairs kitchen has a gas cook top, a microwave oven and an electric German coffee pot. The area is centrally located, it the heart of town, but at the same time quiet.

In the land of the Etruscans, founded during medieval times, Chianni sits on a hill above the Valdera valley with a breathtaking panorama. The rural lifestyle here still has the rhythm of times gone by, and is based on the local agricultural, craftsmen and tourism activities. Nothing lacks for your full enjoyment; from the local goods in the various shops to the restaurants, pubs and an open air restaurant where you can dance and see shows during the summer months. There is also a public swimming pool and plenty of foot paths for hiking, biking, etc.

Cascina Terme Spa: Cascina Terme is situated in the hills around Pisa and is a magical place where our modern lifestyle is far away and forgotten. The hot water spa was once used by the Romans, but today is an original setting for a modern establishment that offers both medical and wellness treatments. An outdoor pool with whirlpool is open all year-round and another pool is covered. In town there is; a good variety of shops, a bike rental, sport activities, restaurants, cafés, wine bars. In the immediate vicinity there is plenty of art and culture, not to mention all the mediaeval villages that are well worth a visit.

The coast: From Chianni you have the choice of the sandy beaches of Vada or Rosssigno Marittimo, great for kids, or the rocky coast around Livorno, (Leghorn), preferred by scuba divers.

Wir waren im Oktober 2008 Gast in beiden Wohnungen dieses Ferienhauses und sind nachhaltig begeistert: Die technische Abwicklung (Anmieten, Wegbeschreibung, Übergabe, Abgabe) klappte sehr gut, der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Zustand ist tadellos, die Ausstattung komplett (bspw. Mikrowelle, Sat.-Fernsehen, Waschmasch., Geschirrspülmasch.) und auf neuestem Stand. Die Matrazen sind hart, die Badezimmer mit Dusche völlig in Ordnung. Jeder Raum ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und erst vor kurzem renoviert, die mittelalterliche Ambiente so zum Wohlfühlen, dass man schon gar nicht mehr nach draußen will. Höhepunkt ist die Dachterrasse mit Blick ins weite Tal. Zur anderen Seite schaut man über die Dächer Chiannis auf die alte Dorfkirche. Der Ort ist am Hang gebaut. Das Leben auf der Straße ist durchweg italienisch, uns sind nur wenige Touristen begegnet (zumindest im Herbst), man kann bei den netten Krämern ums Eck alle Leckereien der italienischen Küche problemlos einkaufen. Zwei, drei kleine Bars, zwei Restaurants auf gehobenem Niveau und eine preisgünstige und schnörkelose Pizzeria sorgen für entspanntes Ausgehen. Berühmte Orte der Toskana wie Pisa, Lucca, Florenz oder Volterra sind innerhalb einer Autostunde zu erreichen. In der Umgebung kann man einige Wanderwege für Ausflüge in die unmittelbare Umgebung nutzen.
Kurz: das ideale Domizil für erholsame Urlaubstage, besser geht es eigentlich gar nicht. Man sollte allerdings wegen der Treppen im Haus und wegen der steilen Wege im Ort gut zu Fuß sein.

entzückendes Haus im Bergdorf Chianni

Wir haben dieses Haus mit 3 Erwachsenen und 5 Kindern gebucht. Uns hat es super gefallen!!! Das Haus wurde ganz liebevoll restauriert und bietet Platz für mindestens 8 Personen. Es bietet sich auch an, dieses Haus mit 2 Familien oder Paaren zu mieten, den oberen und unteren Teil des Hauses kann man durch Türen abtrennen. Es gibt jeweils 2 Küchen! Die Aussicht von der Dachterrasse ist überwältigend. Man kann über verschiedene Dörfer und Täler blicken. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!!!
