Old farm house set in magnificent countryside, 40 kilometres south of Siena. You will be completely private here, and not have to share anything with anyone. It is completely secluded, set in 14ha (35 acres) of its own gardens, wine yard and olive groves, 2 miles from the nearest village. It has breathtaking views on all sides. It is surrounded by lawns and olive groves that lead up to a beautifully landscaped 18metre pool. The house has antique furniture, paintings, terracotta floors, wooden beams, extremely comfortable brand new beds and beautiful white linen.

The house has a pergola with a stone table and benches for al fresco dining and a wonderful patio with a bread oven. The rooms are furnished with antique Italian furniture. There is a fireplace in the living area, in the kitchen and in the green bedroom A cd-player with I-Pod docking station is available in the living area. The pool is normally open from mid May until mid September, depending on the weather, and is professionally cleaned once a week. The approach road to the house although in good condition is a gravel one. A selection of high quality Italian produce (pasta, jam, tomato sauce etc.) as well as some Italian wines, including the one produced on the property, is proposed for sale. Internet access is available against payment of EUR 50 per week.

Our stay at Il Romitorio couldn't have been better, from beginning to end. The farmhouse, views, pools, location were wonderful. Our children just loved the pool! Virginie and Max were so hospitable on the day we checked in and throughout. They truly wanted our stay to be enjoyable and made sure we knew that we could contact them if there was anything we needed. The house had everything we needed and was furnished so nicely. The views from the house were so beautiful to wake up to each morning, and the view from the pool was one of the prettiest I saw in Tuscany. The location was completely private, yet close enough to several charming towns to do lots and lots of sightseeing...a perfect mix. Our holiday couldn't have been more perfect. We would love to come back again!

A large house with a great view.A very accurate description is provided in the listing.The house was clean and well-maintained with a maid coming three times a week.You definitely need a car if you decide to stay there, the house being remote from the nearest village "Montisi" at about a mile distance.The place is very quiet and the pool superb with an incredible view on Tuscan landscapes.I definitely recommend this place and would like to rent it next year.
