Romantic 50 square metre apartment, perfect for a romantic weekend or longer stay. Apartment is centrally heated but also has a working fireplace for romantic evenings in. Located right overlooking the beautiful Canal St Martin directly on a working lock on the canal. Located very close to Gare du Nord where the eurostar from London and thalys from Belgium and The Netherlands arrives. Also very close to Gare de L’Est which serves the Champagne District, Strasbourg and Germany and a variety of metro lines. Large number and variety of restaurants, bars, bakeries and cafes within 5 minute walk from the apartment. The apartment comes fully equipped with 32 inch flat screen tv and collection of DVDs, wireless internet, well stocked library including several Paris guidebooks and telephone but also has interesting extras such as a francis-francis espresso machine for that perfect cappuccino and a Russian billiard table which converts into a dining table. No deposit or cleaning fee.

The apartment is a 10-15 minute walk from the Gare du Nord where the Eurostar from London and thalys from Belgium and The Netherlands arrives. It is even closer (around a 5-10 minute walk) from the Gare de L’Est which serves the Champagne District, Strasbourg and Germany and a variety of metro lines. Chateau-Landon metro station, which is 5 minutes is on a direct metro line to many of the central sights of Paris including the Louvre. The area surrounding the Canal St. Martin which the apartment overlooks is one of the newer and funkier parts of Paris. It has a great blend of shops such as Antoine et Lili, bars such as Point Ephemere and and restaurants such as Hotel du Nord and wandering around the area is one of Paris Timeout 50 things to do in Paris. We have eaten fantastic meals at very good French brasseries within a 5 minute walk of the apartment and have also taken advantage of the Cambodian, Chilean and Indian restaurants within the same distance to name but a few.
