This excellent and spacious villa is located in Portugal in the region of Algarve, in a quiet area in the outskirts of Albufeira, near Quinta da Balaia, where on-site facilities include a small mini market and a snack bar as well as tennis courts at a local charge. Although Villa Balaia 1 is situated in a quiet area, within a 15 minute walk there is a wide selection of bars and restaurants as well as the bustling 'strip' of Albufeira with its numerous bars and shops. The main resort centre of Albufeira can also be reached within a few minutes drive as well as the beautiful beach of Santa Eulália or many others.

Outdoor Pursuits: Outdoor sports and leisure activities are in abundance in the Algarve, thanks to its fantastic and sunny climate. Golfers are literally in paradise with a vast selection of beautiful, challenging and world-class courses to choose from. A wide selection of fishing and boat trips are available from the Albufeira marina as well as from other resorts. Watersports, tennis, horse riding, swimming and fishing are also popular on this coastline. Inland you will discover unspoilt rural countryside perfect for hiking or cycling. When you’ve had enough of sun, sand and surf, you can visit one of the Algarve’s many tourist attractions dotted throughout the region. Water parks are an extremely popular way to cool off in the sunshine. An aquatic centre also has live shows and performances by seals, dolphins and parrots.

Shopping: Two large shopping centres and a retail park can be found in Guia (10 km away from Albufeira) and in Faro, offering a wide range of shops, restaurants, cinemas and a ten pin bowling alley. ..................................................................................... Lively markets are held weekly in many resorts and villages with colourful stalls laden with leather shoes, bags, hand crafted ceramics and cooper. Hand woven baskets and decorative tiles can also be found in the region. Local markets are a great way to buy fresh produce, from almond and olives to oranges to enjoy at your private villa.

Golf: Not only has the Algarve the best golfing climate in Europe it also has some of the best courses and facilities. To the west, Vilamoura, Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo courses are within 20 minuntes drive from your villa. The Algarve is famous for its golf courses, beautiful coastline and beaches. The nearest golf courses to the villa are the ones at the Pine Cliffs to the west and the one of Salgados to the East, just a few minutes away.

Beautiful Villa

8 of us stayed in this villa for a week at the end of October. We have been coming to Albufeira for the last 7 years and this is the most luxurious villa we have stayed in - and we have stopped in some very good ones.
The kitchen, bedrooms and lounge are all decorated to a very high modern standard. The location is good and the walk to the Strip is easy.
The pool area is well kept and the pool is immaculate - too cold in October/Nov though.
Carmina is a very nice lady and nothing is too much trouble. All pre holiday communication with Maria was also very good and accurate.
The nearby Balaia complex has a nice restaurant and bar, tennis courts and a small shop.
We would love to come back here sometime. I would not hesitate to recommend this for families wanting a relaxing quiet holiday but also within reach of the lively Strip or a short bus ride/ taxi away from the Old Town or new Marina.

we were in this villa in oct 08. It is brand new with all the comfort of home and well equiped.It is in a quiet area with a minimart a short walk away and the lively strip 15 mins walk.Carmina and her team were great hosts and i would definately recommend this place.
