Outdoor Pursuits:
Outdoor sports and leisure activities are in abundance in the Algarve, thanks to its fantastic and sunny climate. Golfers are literally in paradise with a vast selection of beautiful, challenging and world-class courses to choose from. A wide selection of fishing and boat trips are available from the Albufeira marina as well as from other resorts. Watersports, tennis, horse riding, swimming and fishing are also popular on this coastline. Inland you will discover unspoilt rural countryside perfect for hiking or cycling. When you’ve had enough of sun, sand and surf, you can visit one of the Algarve’s many tourist attractions dotted throughout the region. Water parks are an extremely popular way to cool off in the sunshine. An aquatic centre also has live shows and performances by seals, dolphins and parrots.
Shopping:
Two large shopping centres and a retail park can be found in Guia (10 km away from Albufeira) and in Faro, offering a wide range of shops, restaurants, cinemas and a ten pin bowling alley. ..................................................................................... Lively markets are held weekly in many resorts and villages with colourful stalls laden with leather shoes, bags, hand crafted ceramics and cooper. Hand woven baskets and decorative tiles can also be found in the region. Local markets are a great way to buy fresh produce, from almond and olives to oranges to enjoy at your private villa.
Golf:
Not only has the Algarve the best golfing climate in Europe it also has some of the best courses and facilities. To the west, Vilamoura, Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo courses are within 20 minuntes drive from your villa. The Algarve is famous for its golf courses, beautiful coastline and beaches. The nearest golf courses to the villa are the ones at the Pine Cliffs to the west and the one of Salgados to the East, just a few minutes away.
