Wow what a great apartment!
For the price we paid, we couldn't have expected more.
Great views, south facing extremely sunny, no vis-a-vis.
Well maintained apartment and building.
Huge convenient indoor parking lot.
All comfort and amenities, dishwasher, laundry room, DVD, ipod dock, etc...
Everything is well thought out for your convenience, enough cupboards, hooks, shelves, etc.. Kitchen well equipped - raclette, fondue pot, fully stocked with dishwashing soap etc....
Great selection of classic movies kept the kids (and parents!) entertained every evening!
Best part: 2 sunny balconies and great view from the bedroom, even after dark, you see the wonderful starry sky as if you were sleeping outside and the owner cleverly added stars to the ceiling so you really feel almost as if you were sleeping under the starry sky. Wake up to the wonderful light of sunrise over the beautiful snowy mountains.
Less great (and these are minor points): the 2nd bedroom does not have outside window (kids couldn't care less but if you rent for 2 couples, one couple gets the suite with the view and the other sleeps in the closet!!), and the location (although central for Leysin- which is a very spread out town), 1 minute to center by car, but 8 minutes by foot,is still too far to walk to restaurants in the evening especially w kids and also a tad too far to walk to the ski lifts with kids and skis (we took the car 1 minute down to convenient central parking lot each day).
