The working port of Port Vendres with it's own sailing marina, fishing fleet and fish market. Ceret, sub-prefecture of Pyrenees Orientales, extensive market and Museum of Modern Art with changing exhibitions. Le Perthus just into Spain for bargains in alcohol, tobacco and gifts. Easy access to signposted walking, mountain biking and horse-riding treks in the Alberes (Pyrenees ). Le Boulou with it's Casino, spa baths and 'cures'.
